PFF ranks Chiefs WR group #6 after the BILLS?
https://www.pff.com/news/nfl-wide-re...020-nfl-season
1. Cowboys 2. Buccs 3. Falcons 4. Saints 5. Bills 6. Chiefs Few receivers instill fear into opposing defenses like Tyreek Hill; he has 433 more yards on deep (20-plus yard) passes than any other receiver over the past three years. Hill’s game speed is at another level, but he also has the quickness to win at the line of scrimmage and the ball skills to win down the field. The production speaks for itself, but just having Hill on the field opens up the rest of the Kansas City passing attack. On the other side, Sammy Watkins looked like a future star after an 89.8 overall grade in his second season in 2015, but he’s graded between 69.0 and 74.0 in every year since. Last season, the big plays showed up in spurts, including in the AFC Championship and Super Bowl, but he’s been a mediocre No. 2 option during his two years in Kansas City. Mecole Hardman may be ready for an expanded role, as his big-play ability was on display in 2019 as a rookie — he had 30 catches for 567 yards (18.9 yards/reception) and six touchdowns. He’s a pure speed receiver who is dangerous both before and after the catch, though he doesn’t possess Hill’s ability to adjust and make plays down the field. Demarcus Robinson is back in the mix as the third or fourth receiver, and he’s been fine as a complementary piece over the past three years. The Chiefs have a speedy group of receivers that pairs with an outstanding quarterback and offensive system, so look for even more fireworks in 2020. I'm not sure about the Bills being ahead of us, surprised Browns, Bengals, SEA, and Cards aren't higher on the list... Had TE's been included we'd be at or near the top. |

So I guess Mahomes no longer has the haters able to say, "anyone would be good with all of those weapons".

Why do you care. The Patriots' WR corps was routinely ranked as horrible. You guys are still thinking like losers, trying to justify your team by comparing it to other rosters. There's only one ranking that counts: the last team standing. You've got Mahomes, relax.

I agree it’s BS but it depends how you look at it.
Hill is awesome, no one disputes that but his season totals were off last year. So he gets dinged for that. Watkins has all the potential in the world but his numbers are not there. Also took less money to stay with team so in others eyes he must not be that good. DRob. Nice WR no huge stat line, didn’t get much interest on the market, must not be that great. Hard man just a rookie. Nice TD numbers but where are the yards and receptions Again - not sure I’d want any other teams unit but this is how I think our guys are viewed. Basically take out hill they would be ranked In The bottom half. Of the league. |

With another year for Hardman in the system teaming up with Hill and Watkins, a comparison to Bruce, Holt, and Hakim is warranted. The only real thing that hurts them statistically in a head to head is the fact we also have a TE unlike what the Rams ever had. Kelce takes stats away from them. So if thats a negative for these guys, thats one hell of a good negative to have if winning games is the goal and not chasing inflated statlines. |

Funny how "outstanding quarterback" sounds underrated now.

Nobody gives Hill much credit around the league. They think he's all speed and nothing else, but let's be honest, we've seen him leap higher than DB's to get passes thrown down the field to him, we've seen him catch almost everything that's been thrown to him so we know his hands are good, we've seen him do incredible things time and time again against the Ravens and Patriots (two of the most staunch defenses in the league for the better part of 20 years now) and we've seen him break tackles and break it for huge touchdowns. He's just not 6'4 225 lbs so he's considered not a prototypical receiver, but let them hate on Tyreek, I'll be looking forward to the HoF discussion in ten years when everyone else has been trying to copy our formula for over a decade.

The issue is how much they undervalue Watkins. He’s a #1 talent at WR, playing in a #3/4 role within this offense. His production suffers over it but that doesn’t change how gifted he is.
I’m personally hoping that this last playoff run will have him off and running for a career year. Beyond that, Hardman is a game breaker even in limited snaps, and Robinson is better than he is perceived by many I would say. |
