PFF ranks Chiefs WR group #6 after the BILLS?

https://www.pff.com/news/nfl-wide-re...020-nfl-season

1. Cowboys
2. Buccs
3. Falcons
4. Saints
5. Bills
6. Chiefs

Few receivers instill fear into opposing defenses like Tyreek Hill; he has 433 more yards on deep (20-plus yard) passes than any other receiver over the past three years. Hill’s game speed is at another level, but he also has the quickness to win at the line of scrimmage and the ball skills to win down the field. The production speaks for itself, but just having Hill on the field opens up the rest of the Kansas City passing attack.

On the other side, Sammy Watkins looked like a future star after an 89.8 overall grade in his second season in 2015, but he’s graded between 69.0 and 74.0 in every year since. Last season, the big plays showed up in spurts, including in the AFC Championship and Super Bowl, but he’s been a mediocre No. 2 option during his two years in Kansas City. Mecole Hardman may be ready for an expanded role, as his big-play ability was on display in 2019 as a rookie — he had 30 catches for 567 yards (18.9 yards/reception) and six touchdowns. He’s a pure speed receiver who is dangerous both before and after the catch, though he doesn’t possess Hill’s ability to adjust and make plays down the field.

Demarcus Robinson is back in the mix as the third or fourth receiver, and he’s been fine as a complementary piece over the past three years. The Chiefs have a speedy group of receivers that pairs with an outstanding quarterback and offensive system, so look for even more fireworks in 2020.

I'm not sure about the Bills being ahead of us, surprised Browns, Bengals, SEA, and Cards aren't higher on the list... Had TE's been included we'd be at or near the top.

Chiefs should be 4th at least.

This just proves the disrespect for Hardman. Dude was extremely similar as a receiver to Tyreek’s rookie season.

Gehrig Dieter has more Super Bowl rings than all of the receivers combined from the top 5 teams. That’s really all you need to know.

I have to take a wait and see approach to the cowboys WR group being at the top. Lamb throughout college was running wide open, rarely ever jammed at the line. I think he turns into a fine WR but I Would not be surprised if he was just mediocre. Gallup seems like a solid 2 but Cooper has struggled with drops as well as completely disappearing in games. His production in road games has been pretty terrible.

I think he's just a fast football player. Don't get me wrong, I think he can max out at 800-900 yards I just don't see him as a Tyreek Hill. Tyreek Hill is just a great wide receiver. The only thing that limits Tyreek is his height.

Obviously I hope I'm wrong and it's anyone's guess. This year is huge for Hardman. Virtually any really fast guy should succeed in this offense. He's going to exceed, it's just that will he be elite?

Cowboys at 1?

Really?

The Bills being ranked 5th is laughable. If you consider Diggs, Brown, Beasley and McKenzie a superior group to Hill, Watkins, Hardman and Robinson then you shouldn’t be covering football.

If you put Hardman (as a rookie) and Robinson on a garbage team like Miami. They don't do anything. Mahomes + Reid + Kelce makes WR a plug and play spot as long as you are fast.

Tyreek Hill is the exception. He's a legit #1 type of WR but the rest of the guys, even Watkins, are great because they are with this group.

If you put any one of the Top 40 wide receivers on this team they would go freaking biserk.

Why do people pay attention to PFF? They proven time and time again to know jack shit about football

I got:

1. Hill
2. Diggs
3. Watkins (when healthy)
4. Brown
5. Beasley
6. Hardman
7. Robinson
8. McKenzie

Not a huge fan of Brown- I understand he had a fantastic last season with Buffalo but I would take Watkins over him. I see how that might be an unpopular opinion though.

Diggs is so ****ing overrated. I get that Kirk is basically Alex Smith with a bit more courage and much less athleticism and scrambling ability, but Kirk manages to get Adam Thielen his production on a game-by-game consistent basis. He can't do that for Diggs?

Alex Smith made Tyreek Hill a damn good WR. Mahomes then made him elite. Why can't Diggs look damn good with Cousins when he can do the same with Thielen?

Diggs was bitching about not getting the ball last year? He's gonna be REALLY ****ing pissed with Josh Allen throwing the ball. Maybe he'll get more targets, but those targets will expose him as a WR whose ball tracking and vertical leap ability is NOT elite. If there's an NFL season and both Diggs and Allen play all the games, I'm putting all my chips on Diggs not even getting 1000 yards next year.

RealSNR 07-20-2020 12:12 AM

Like, were the Vikings an elite WR group last year? Diggs and Thielen is pretty damn good as a top 1-2, but they had nothing after that. So now Diggs goes to Buffalo, and you're telling me the crap he has there is better than Thielen? No ****ing way.

Demonpenz 07-20-2020 12:23 AM

I would flip flop the buccs and the falcons but agree with the rest.
