How can we improve Chiefs discussion around here?

I've mentioned my disappointment in the quality of discussion in a few threads lately, but figured it's worth a more meta discussion to figure out 1) if I'm alone in this perception and 2) if there's anything that can be done about it.

Back in the old days, I walked 20 miles to school in the snow uphill both ways!

Err...wait. I mean, ChiefsPlanet was THE place where I got my Chiefs news. If an article was worth reading on another site, it was linked here. If there was a tweet with Chiefs news, it was posted here 30 seconds after it hit Twitter. If someone said something worthwhile on the radio, someone would post about it on here. And (with all due respect to those who like megathreads), you could glance at the front page and have a pretty decent idea of what the big news was for the day.

After returning home from the boonies on Sunday morning, however, I honestly had no idea how the game Saturday even went. I ended up visiting Arrowhead Pride and Chiefs Digest just to get a feel for what went down. Am I the weird one for thinking that that sucks?

Anyway, just figured it's worth the discussion. If it turns out that everyone is pretty content the way things are, I'll just bookmark some other resources and move on with life. But if I'm not alone, what can we do to make things better?

If we put together a back-to-back playoff appearance you don't think Clay would flip like judo? It only took the guy a 5 game regular season win streak to start to believe again. Hell, the dude was a ****ing Matt Cassel fan not long ago. He's got a lil Chiefy in him that's dying to be set free. If we win a playoff game, him and all his lackeys will be wearing Chiefs red from sun up to sun down.

Awwww. There it is. I make a valid point and that's what you sink to. Move along somewhere else with your asshurt whittle precious.

Eh, I'm coming from the assumption that the mods won't start banning people just for being annoying. That's never happened (well, mostly), and likely never will (at least as a matter of policy).

Want separate discussions? Then start a thread and if someone says "Q"....****ing ignore them and keep the discussion going.

Megathreads aren't evil. I prefer megathreads to single threads.....but I'm not against the single threads either.

Some of you have a very loose definition of "troll". On this whole board the only user I believe qualifies for the term is Demonpenz, and he is harmless.

yes there is(i dont think clay is a ****ing genious) someone should be able to figure it out.

inmen was terrible towards the end and he's gone. clay is worse than inmen was at the end and always has been, homer or troll. why does he get to stay? because no one can figure out how to keep him away and that embarrasses the mods, so its easier to just tell everyone else to just deal with it

Well, you did say systematic. But I concur. It is what it is.

God, this place sucks.

Are you new here? It's CP. You know I have to be a douche!

But seriously, the Royals are REALLY ****ing good. The Chiefs might be pretty good this season. Last year they ended up looking just above average.

Do you remember anyone bitching about a lack of discussion after we beat the Seahawks? I don't think that's a coincidence.

Just because someone was, at one time, a decent member(?) (before my time...was on another chiefs forum for 10 years) doesn't exclude them from being a disruptive troll in the present.

Maybe he always sucked...I wasnt here.

The solution is pretty simple but would be time consuming for a mod to constantly "shadow" the main offender(s) and ban them from threads.
