If you could make one room of your home larger, which room would it be?

Assume that you could increase one dimension of the room by 2 feet. What room would you make larger?

For me, it would be my kitchen. We have a rather small kitchen and it's also the only place on our first floor with a television. So I spend a lot of time there. It's not uncomfortable, but another two feet would allow me to have a little table or a bigger breakfast bar.

My second choice would probably be my master bedroom. It's big enough, but another two feet would let me add another closet, and we could use one.

I'd make our workout room bigger. It's a bit crowded feeling already with just a treadmill, media tower, and tv. I'd like room for an elliptical and a small rack of dumbbells.

I could also use a bit more room in the garage. It's already a 3 car, but with the lawn mower, power washer, garden things, tool cabinets, etc it's already a bit crowded. I kind of want to buy a fishing kayak and some bicycles, so it'll get even more crowded. What I'd really like is a separate shop, but that's a bit expensive right now.

Nobody relegates me to my room. I got there on my own. I need that space and time. Never a problem with any significant other. They need space and time too my man.

But hobby room is a more appropriate term though

I live in a very nice 3BR 3 1/2 BA townhome and even though I just rent, the garage is the only undersized part of the home. It's so damn narrow I don't even park in it! My ex-GF did when she lived with me but she hit the wall column from time to time and only one person could get in the car at a time. It only has about 3 1/2 to 4 feet of TOTAL clearance combined when the car is in. It sucks

I know the garages of which you speak. Threading a needle for sure. I clipped the edge once. New car door: $1300.

About 3 years ago, we put an addition on to our home. We knocked out a wall and added 400 SQ FT. It became our new kitchen and we LOVE IT. It feeds into our hearth room, so its all very open and spacious.

Dining room.
We have a huge kitchen, that is eat in on the bar and kitchen island, but we have no dining room at all.
Plans are to add one on, but I live in a flood zone so I have to go to the Board of Adjustment and beg. They charge $700 just to look at your case. You have to have a Hydraulic Engineer access how water flows. Then get the City ok, followed by the Department of Natural Resources. Its just crazy

Living room. It's pretty long but it's too narrow (town house) so it limits what I can do with furniture. My way too expensive couch looks a bit over sized for the room.

Other option would be the man-cave. I have a projector that shoots a 145" screen on the wall that I'd like to sit a tad farther back from.

Master bath.

My floor plan is fairly modern even though the house was built in 97 so my kitchen extends into a nice sized eat in kitchen. I'd like more cabinet/pantry space and a couple of feet there would help but ultimately I'd rather have the space in the master bath. I have a single sink and a standard drop in tub/shower combo that I really can't do a hell of a lot with. That extra 2 feet would open it up a lot; I could rip the tub out and put in a nice stone stand-up shower to really update the bathroom.
