Dilfer on Chiefs QB

"You put Aaron Rogers on this Chiefs team and Bowe & Kelce become 1000yd Wrs."

Anyone agree with this assessment?

Yes, up close and Rodgers is arguably the best in league currently. The mother****er is a stud.

Doesn't Rogers seemingly take a shit load of sacks from his OL every year and still put up all pro numbers?

Denver rookie QB John Elway, on Jack Lambert, after Lambert and the Steelers knocked Elway out of his first game as a pro (1983).

Dilfers point applies to the 26 teams as well that don't have a HOF calibre quarterback.

You're placing that standard way too high.

There are a lot of guys that would turn those players into 1000 yard receivers, that have led strong passing games despite turnover at the WR position and players either less experienced than Bowe or less dynamic athletically than Kelce.

Are all 26 of those teams underutilizing their WR1 and TE?

Cleveland has a WR with more yardage than Bowe and Kelce, and TWO others within 38 yards.

CLEVELAND.

I think there are plenty of examples of a QB getting a lot of yards but not necessarily making the team that much better. Stafford and dalton are yardage champions. I'm not convinced either is that much better of an option. And I'm not an Alex fan by any stretch.

The difference between Rodgers and Alex Smith is enormous. I'm not convinced the difference between him and most other non elite qbs is nearly as huge.

And you put Dilfer in his prime on this team and they're shooting for the #1 pick of 2015.

Please, remind us how throwing for 180 yards per game and not having a WR or TE with more than 600 yards makes this team so much better.

With Gordon out, Cleveland had a legitimate slot WR. He's leading his team with 694 yards. Who's the legit slot WR for the Chiefs?

Cleveland's WR corps, even without Gordon (Hawkins, Austin, Gabriel), is better than what the Chiefs have been putting on the field.
