Doesn't matter. You cant keep trading away first round picks. At some point, you rely on those picks and their low salaries to be the base of your team.

For every first round pick you trade, you're basically going out into free agency (or whoever you traded the pick for) to replace the player you would have taken with that pick. The cost of the player in the trade/free agency is going to cost much more than the draft pick would have.

Basically, if you keep trading away picks for expensive veterans, its gonna put you in cap hell.

Chadiha is friends with Veach if I remember correctly. Both him and Riddick are tied in.

Chadiha generally likes the Chiefs. He's one of the better ones on espn. Terez is carefully about saying things. If he says we're in or out as opposed to saying he knows nothing, I'd trust it.

I'm OK with the draft haul we gave up for frank Clark. But I'm generally not a fan of giving up first rounders let alone for a rental.

Personally, I think the smartest thing they could do is make the deal. Sign Ramsey long term, tag and trade Jones to recoup value.

I can replace a DT much easier than finding an elite level CB.

You keep saying this, I don't think it's the case.

You can find an elite DT without a first round pick? Pretty tough, especially a team that hasn't shown it's really able to ID DL in the draft.

I’m not really buying any of the rumors right now one minute we’re in then we’re out. We have an obvious need an obvious “soft window” with Mahomes on a rookie deal.

As much as I like Ramsey, it just doesn't make sense.

You're talking 2 first rounders and a massive deal. Probably wise to let someone else do that if you're plan is to keep Chris Jones.

I could make the argument finding a top of the line CB is much harder than finding DL in todays game.

Then I'd counter that top of the line Cb isn't as necessary because of the rules of the league and you can't really be that aggressive back there anymore.

So having a DL that can be dominant against the pass always takes precedence
