NFLN completely passes over KC's pick. They're talking about Indy's pick now.

They probably have a specific NT picked out, either in the league or yet to be drafted.

OVERVIEW
Bailey could occupy a few different roles in a 4-3 defense. May find a home as a strong side end or at defensive tackle and certainly provides a coordinator the versatility to move him around. Uses his hands, power moves and good get off to pressure the passer. Very complete against the run. Holds his base very well, gets off blocks, fights through double teams and is a sure tackler when arriving at the ball-carrier. Shows sound awareness and positioning on the field. Relentless in pursuit either from the backside or down the field. Bailey's a probable first round pick.

Do what?

2011 NFL Draft Profile: Allen Bailey

Category : 2011 NFL Draft Profiles, Miami (C)

Allen Bailey-DL-Miami: 6’3″ #278

Strengths-Is a well put together player. Flashes ability to command double teams if he can get off the snap quickly. Is best at playing the run. Shows good natural strength. Gives good effort and plays to the whistle. Shows good football awareness and knows his responsibilities. Has position versatility.
Weaknesses-Is not a quick twitch athlete. Teams will struggle to find a position for him. Does not show great hands or the ability to shed blocks well. At times can be blocked by TE. Does not break down well in space to finish the play. Lacks NFL array of pass rush moves.
NFR Draft Analysis-Bailey is a DE/DT tweener in the truest sense. We believe he has the ability to provide depth to a team looking for a versatile Defensive Lineman. Bailey could develop into a starter with a few years of coaching. Ultimately his value is somewhere in the late 3rd to early 4th round of the 2011 NFL draft.
NFL Comparison-Vernon Gholston

Can't argue taking anyone who could potentially rush the passer. Something we definitely need.

It's an odd move, but great value. The Chiefs can part with a 5th rounder to move up for a NT if they like either one guys; lets not panic (yet).
