Ghost Writer is severely overrated.
It has a great idea in its implications but man it was worthless, overall.

I have to disagree with you Reaper because I feel what you're presenting as anti-Semetic is too in vein of labeling anyone against the support of Israel or its people as anti-Semetic. In other words, it's so broad as to be worthless.
Would you be saying it was anti-Christian if he'd been a Christian?

I'm neither here nor there regarding Polanski.
I hated Chinatown though, so yeah. I still need to see the Pianist, which is on Netflix streaming. I just felt that there was little meat to the bone of the movie. Indeed, the only meat was the very little explored implication of CIA controlling another country.

In the Loop was hilarious until about 30 minutes left (maybe less). It just fell apart after that.

I acknowledge a lull closer to the end but I feel it comes from the characters going back to England from the D.C. trip. The UN stuff was great for me. The whole film is great for me - falls apart is way too harsh - so you can POOP OFF, ASSBLOOD. |

Agreed that falls apart is far too harsh. It has been a bit since I have seen it but from what I recall it stopped being consistently hilarious but didn't fall apart during the last act.

Generality speak here, haven't seen 'An Education'
But I think the standard for 'bigotry' or 'stereotyping' should be if the medium is presented in a manner that trends the viewer to muse that there is a broader 'type' of person that acts much like the character on an ethnic basis. ie, if you watch the movie and see the bad guy as a singular character, it one thing, and it's another altogether if you see the bad guy as representing a broader type. Compare the character of Hannibal Lecter to Mookie in DtRT.
