Life I just got home from the ER - Page 3

Been having dull chest pains right and left daily for a couple weeks. Today at school decided I needed an ekg. School nurse said go to the ER now. Called a local ER option in town they said go to the ER so reluctantly I went to the ER. Lots of poking and tests all of which came out positive and they sent me home. I was there an hour and the bill was 4000.00 my share was 440.00. I will admit the govt finally did something right and they have to show you the exact bill before you go home and they are tied to it.
I guess knowing my heart is ok is worth 440.00 after worrying about it for two weeks is worth it.

You got off light. I had two similar episodes in the past few years that both turned out to be false alarms, but I was stuck with a $2000 bill each time.
