That’s probably pure gamesmanship. I wouldn’t tell GB either as they prepare to play.

Yeah, agreed. We're not QUITE to the point where the rest of the division is irrelevant (the Raiders still have a remote shot at it), but in general I care more about how we keep up with the Ravens/Colts/Texans than anyone else.

Shit, I hope not. You ever seen the guys on the Viking's pass rush? It's littered with athletes. Large, scary men.
Let Moore take that bullet.. The next two are interconference games anyway. It's far more important to have him healthy for the AFC run. |

First things first: win the division. Then worry about winning the second seed. Don't even think about the AFC until week 13-14, if we have a shot at it.

Id rather mahomes with reasonable mobility on a full playoff run than playing through partial injury through a bye week. And we've got some pretty tough games still to come even with a healthy mahomes. Buffalo's schedule looks a lot nicer the rest of the way.

keep him out for the next 2 games and maybe 3
After that go full throttle. Win division at 11-5 or 10-6 and hope for the best.

For those that live outside of the KC market.
What kind of reactions are you getting? Most that talk to me hate the idea of PM out of the game. Don't even talk about injuries. People want to see him play. They love him. Amazed on what he has done and cannot accept the fact that he has to sit out 3 games. That is all good for us.

There are different levels of healthy. If holding him out a few weeks while winning the West makes him even a little bit healthier during the playoffs, that's a lot more valuable than a bye week.

I guess we have to agree to disagree then. If Mahomes, Andy, and the training staff all say he's ready to go, then so be it. I would much rather have a bye, and then a home game before having to go to NE. Much more reasonable than having a wild card home game, and then having to win 2 on the road.
Of course, it is only if they say he's ready. If he's ready, he's ready. |

Among my football fan buddies, most think that he should sit for a minimum of three weeks and get healthy. They all think he's the best QB they've ever seen, and have a lot of respect for him. "The only player I want to watch outside of my own team," is what I've been hearing. And none of their teams are facing the Chiefs over the next 5-6 weeks. Everyone wants to see him rest up and get 100% healthy before coming back, because they all want to watch him play out the rest of the season the way he was last season. |

All those people saying 4 weeks etc...are out of their mind, Reid isn't ruling Pat our for Sunday eve though its a long shot. As far as his left ankle goes Pat played little over 1qtr Thursday night so if he plays against the Vikes he has 2.5 weeks of healing on that as well. And NO it wasn't a high ankle sprain. Overreaction planet in full effect here. |

Part of the reason I watch the NFL is because it is so competitive. You don't just gamble that shit if the trainers, staff, and Pat himself say he's good and can play you 1000% play him. You don't say oh well if we win one here we will sit him longer. No you got to be cold blooded and don't take chances because you could drop a game at any moment, it's the NFL. Sure if they were RG3ing him yea I get it but it's not that and not the same injury. If the staff who has 100% more experience than most of these people says he good than he good. Play him. None of us know any better than Reid and the medical staff and people need to just stop and listen to them. Sent from my Pixel 3a using Tapatalk |

Okay, fine, the reality is that he probably was a little dinged here and there. But obviously he's more dinged this year than at any time last year. My point was that if he gets healthy enough to be able to play basically at the level he was at last year, where he could take a hit or two in a game and not limp afterwards, then he's basically 100% game ready.
