RAPOPORT: Steve Spagnuolo, Dennis Allen, John Pagano names to watch at DC

Just heard on NFL Total Access.... FWIW. https://twitter.com/rapsheet/status/...864004097?s=21

Allen, the Saints DC, is a free agent for those who may read that and wonder.

Why couldn't it be both? Childress was promoted to co-coordinator not to scheme the offense but to show nagy how to run a defense. Why not use a young innovative mind and pair him with a veteran?

Entirely possible. Just saying that more likely than not we’re going to get someone we’re tepid about, and it means nothing. How many people said our offense would suck because we lost Nagy and promoted Bienemy? No one here knows anything.

Yup, He sucks, I hope we stay clear. He set a NFL record with the Saints defense in giving up the most yards and got Fired after one year.

I think Richard would be good but doesnt he run Cover 3 similar to what the Chargers run? Brady picked that apart.

On January 19, 2012, Spagnuolo agreed to terms with the New Orleans Saints to become the new defensive coordinator under head coach Sean Payton, choosing this position rather than an offer from the Philadelphia Eagles. However, Payton was subsequently suspended for the season for his alleged role in the New Orleans Saints bounty scandal, leaving Spagnuolo to coach the defense without Payton's input.[6][7] In 2012, the Saints allowed the most yards for a season of any defense in NFL history en route to finishing 7–9 and missing the playoffs for the first time in four years. Soon after Payton's suspension ended, Spagnuolo was fired on January 24, 2013.

On January 15, 2015, Spagnuolo rejoined the New York Giants as defensive coordinator.[10] The Giants finished last in the NFL for defense his first year back.[11]

Hell No!!!!!! The game past him!

This is why I want young blood. I want a guy that hasn't made his name yet. A new scheme that others will be copying for the next decade.

DoD would need to gain about 10lbs of muscle, then he could be a Thomas Davis type player at WLB

Mike MacDonald or Chris Hewitt from the Ravens will work.

Out of those names I like Allen the best. He's been there since 2015. The others can't seem to find steady work.
