He doesn't have to cut into Alex's time. Starting quarterbacks don't get the majority of reps in preseason games.

Mahomes at the very least should get more game reps than Stave.

Game 1: One Quarter.

Game 2: 2 Quarters.

Game 3: DRESS REHEARSAL. 3 QUARTERS.
