Here it is, as simple as I can distill it. If you have any awareness of the history of calling black men boys as a blanket policy, then tread lightly and prepare for backlash if that's how you think it wise to take a black man down a peg.

Again, i am not arguing that it's not a racist word when used in a racist context. If your intent with the word is to "knock a black man down a notch" then it's obviously racist. Im arguing that simply using the word does not change the context into a racial one.

Look at the context and interpret the use of the word. Don't look at the word and interpret the context. That's all im saying.

Billy wanted to knock him down a notch with that tweet.

These three facts are established.

The only remaining question is if Billy was aware of the historical use.

Fair enought but I'm saying looking at the context and the source I don't believe for one second it was anything other than the intentionally racist word we're all assuming it to be.

It might not have even been a conscious decision but this is a dude who drops the N-bomb reportedly often. We're not being the overly sensitive PC whistle blowers on this one. It's Bill F-ing Romanowski.

OK folks, please get me up to speed here. If we quit using this devistating, racist word that is obviously meant for death and destruction, what do we call young/young-acting male humans? In this instance, Im good with puss, but Im not sure if thats racist or not
