Chiefs Taking a toddler to a Chiefs game...

Good idea or bad idea? We're flying back home to go to the Chiefs/Steelers game in October. My wife and I are battling amongst ourselves whether to bring our 16 month old daughter (she'll be 19 months come October) to the game or leave her with family. We're gonna buy some earmuffs just in case we bring her to the game obviously, and practice trying to keep them on her lol.

We've taken her to Royals games and D-backs games already and she has a blast, but we know football is different and even with the earmuffs we'd be a bit nervous lol. As far as being rowdy is concerned, we wouldn't have to worry about that since it's a football game. Just rambling now lol.

Anyway, just wondering. I've never noticed any babies or toddlers at games but now that I have one it makes you think.

If you want to enjoy yourself, leave the baby at home

Does the toddler know when to stand up and yell and when to be quiet? And can the toddler hold her beer and avoid getting into fights?

We took a 2 year old. She had an amazing time. Everyone around her bought her stuff the whole game. She learned how and when to do the tomahawk. And for the 30 minutes she got a lil antsy we ran one lap around the concourse.

And we sat 6 seats down from a CPer.

I guess it depends on the kind of parent you are.

I think it's a very sweet gesture - and your heart is certainly in the right place. It's a special act on your part to even consider - very unselfish and sweet.

Our daughter is such a good kid. I know a lot of people say that but she truly is. Of course she has her moments, mostly when she is teething, but we have taken her to 5 baseball games and she was wonderful for almost all of it. Two of these games even lasted for 5 hours and only a couple times did she get antsy. She loves all the people around her and clapping/cheering. We would love to do this as a family event we just what to have some others advice too.

Do it. Obviously your biggest concern in life isn't getting sloppy drunk.

I have a huge beautiful picture of my baby doing the chop framed by a sea of red doing the same.

I can get drunk and take my shirt off any other day.

I've done baseball but I've yet to take either of my kids (6 and 4) to a football game. I would probably take the 6 year old if he wanted to go at this point but there's so many drunk and unruly assholes at NFL games, I don't even like going that much.

If you do, headphones on that child. Hearing issue with infants and loud noises is more common than you think.

Leave the kid somewhere else though.
