Bowe = Johnson?
both highly touted coming out of college

both mid 1st round picks

both have had some success in the NFL

IMO, neither has yet lived up to their potential

Bowe needs to learn to catch the damn ball before the start of the season. Tether his ass daily to one spot and pelt him with a Juggs machine until he catches 50 in a row.

Who cares if he has all of the talent in the world if he can't catch the damn ball???

Johnson is a ****ing disappointment. He was supposed to become this monster LB for us and he is just a young D. Edwards.... good but not great.

Yeah, I realize that having a front 4 that could not put pressure against a troop of Girl Scouts makes his job harder but that is when we need his ass to shine. We are barely getting a dull glow.

Don't get me wrong... both have their moments but they are far from what I expected.

He plays wide receiver. His job is to catch the ball. He has had some difficulty doing his job consistently and has on more than one occasion cost him team a chance to win.

He has been good so far... not great.

He learns to hang on to the ball when the game is on the line then he is a great wr.

Their ability to live up to potential truly depends on coaching, and gameplan. Bowe is going to be a great receiver. I'm betting we will see a big change in maturity this season.

Bowe is probably the most productive drafted player the Chiefs have...

Considering how productive he's been you'd think guys like Hali, Tyler, McBride, Pollard would get rode alot harder for not being good.

This is a make or break season for me with Pollard. He either becomes "Bone Crusher" or let Morgan or Brown have his job. Same goes for Page really.

He never said he was a bust. He basically said he isn't one of the greatest receivers in the NFL yet. Is he good? Yes, very good, but he needs to work on a few things. I think this will be a huge breakout year for him now that he seems to be taking the offseason seriously.

Most receivers break out in the 3rd year. Bowe has had a better first 2 seasons than alot of elite receivers. He is well on track and shouldn't be compared to DJ at all. In other words this thread is silly.
