It's not important to me to prove Alex wanted money. It's important to prove how ridiculous of a homer you are to actually believe that Alex Smith didn't want more money one year removed from a pretty intense contract negotiation. If you sincerely admit you were wrong on that, fine. But pretty clear that was dripping in sarcasm.

So I must choose my words more carefully for you. Money, I don't believe, was Alex's main priority. Players do leave that stuff to their agents more times than not.

I was always under the assumption that that dead money splits is spread between 2 years when you June 1st cut someone. Maybe that's not the case anymore.

I was taking the 25m in dead money, cutting it in half and deducting his base salary from that number.

do you people forget the season before he came here when he was a FREE AGENT and used the Dolphins as a negotiating tool just to get the 49ers to give him two seasons of 8/9 million guaranteed.

NOBODY WANTED HIM. And the few teams that did wanted him at less than 10 million, and he thinks hes worth 17+

he is, ALL about the money.
