Ed Reed and Troy Polamalu are the best safeties of this generation. Reed has 8 times the number of INTs in twice as many seasons, an insane number of TDs, and Super Bowl ring. Polamalu was considered a run stopper but still has has 4 times the number of INTs in twice as many seasons and 2 Super Bowl rings.

Be it known, though, I don't believe he is on Reed or Polumalu levels. And I'm a pretty big Eric Berry homer. |

All 4 are really needed. I'm surprised DJ came back this good.

Hali,DJ and Berry are all a surprise this year.

Yes!
One of the best tacklers on the team, can come up and stop the run, needs some improvement on deep coverage as he lays off expecting the DB to make the play like yesterday. He could have broken up one of the passes to Watkins but quit expecting Smith to make the play. Great safeties play all the way through, even smashing into their own player.

Make him the highest paid safety in football and don't think twice about it.

I actually think Berry would take a home town discount to stay. However, i don't think the Chiefs would low-ball him either.
