Will the Chiefs re-sign Berry

What is the consensus on whether or not the Chiefs get Eric Berry a new contract in the off season?

IMO, the guy is a future HOFer and it would be stupid for them to not re-sign him. But I know he's gonna command a big contract. Of course, he's already making something like 8-9 million this season.

It's time to retire my Tamba Hali jersey. I was thinking about getting a Berry jersey but I hate to buy a jersey and the player goes to another team. What say you, Chiefs Planet?

Some of the pro-bowlers over the last few years have been a joke, especially since they stopped taking players on Super Bowl teams. Cassel was a pro-bowler.

Ed Reed and Troy Polamalu are the best safeties of this generation. Reed has 8 times the number of INTs in twice as many seasons, an insane number of TDs, and Super Bowl ring. Polamalu was considered a run stopper but still has has 4 times the number of INTs in twice as many seasons and 2 Super Bowl rings.

I have a hard time looking acrossed regimes when comparing stats. Crennel had him at basically linebacker.

Be it known, though, I don't believe he is on Reed or Polumalu levels. And I'm a pretty big Eric Berry homer.

All 4 are really needed. I'm surprised DJ came back this good.

Our D will be tough next year as well.
Although Hali has picked it up in recent weeks, I thinks he's pretty much done after this year. Let's just root for him to get one last sack and pass Neil Smith.

Yes!

One of the best tacklers on the team, can come up and stop the run, needs some improvement on deep coverage as he lays off expecting the DB to make the play like yesterday. He could have broken up one of the passes to Watkins but quit expecting Smith to make the play. Great safeties play all the way through, even smashing into their own player.

Make him the highest paid safety in football and don't think twice about it.

The cap will be 153
We've only spent 116 of that and we can rollover 9.5m from 2015

We will have 46m in cap space.

Berry
Howard
Allen
Smith
Abdullah or branch

I actually think Berry would take a home town discount to stay. However, i don't think the Chiefs would low-ball him either.
