Miami is better than Indy? Cleveland?
Miami beat NE and SD in SD and lost to the Packers by 3. Indy was smashed by Pittsburgh and NE.

I don't think either Miami or Indy are "special" this season but Miami has the better defense and running game, which is important late in the season. Indy has regressed due to their running game (which was never special) and a defensive unit that's without a pass rush (no Robert Mathis) and a leaky secondary. Given all of that, I'd tend to lean towards Miami.

As for Cleveland, I don't get it. They are not a good football team, despite their record and Hoyer reminds of Damon Huard.

We have plenty of people to throw to.

Jamaal, DAT, Bowe, and Kelce are a great core. Donnie Avery, as much as he's hated here, offers a ton in his speed.

All those guys, coupled with our pretty damned good run game and Alex's judicious ball handling should make for a pretty effective offense- as it has.

I'm beginning to wonder if Avery will even return this season. He's out Thursday night.

We've still got a ton of time left in the regular season. Let him rest up and hopefully come back just before the playoffs.

We haven't seemed to have missed a beat without him and we've got most of the tough defense's out of the way.

Avery had sports hernia surgery first week of October. Just read that recovery time is usually between 2 weeks and 2 months. Looks like it's closer to 2 months. So the good news is, that window is hopefully starting to close. Maybe the long prep for Denver is when they plan to ease him in.

I'm surprised AJ Jenkins is still out. The guy must really be hurt. He's gotta know he's out of the NFL next season if he doesn't prove himself this year.

Not that Avery is really any good, but getting him back will still be a plus.

Yeah I agree, those crossing plays are good a few times a game with him. Speed helps as well stretching the field.

Yeah, I'm am waiting for him to eat a huge bag of shit.

One week he had Miami at 9 after we fisted them at home.

He doesn't rank KC high because of our QB. That's it.

I seem to remember that almost every Chiefs' playoff team in the 90's fit this description...

I know...aids fire...guzzle some anti-freeze...eat a bullet...
