I still think our last "record" was a sham. I still remember sitting there in the fourth quarter when nothing much was happening and then all of the sudden the loud noise came from nowhere. Like it was pumped in over the speakers. It was just too odd at the time and was a sound that didn't sound right.

I want all this record nonsense to go away.

I had season tickets in the 90's and as for loud memories I'll never forget the home opener in '94 vs. the 49er's.KC had the 49er's pinned against their goal line and DT holds his hands up in the safety signal and then proceeds to nail Steve Young for the safety.

I didn't make it to that game. I was watching Madden and Summerall call it on the tee-vee, and Pat Summerall called the safety play with all the enthusiasm of modern day Denny Matthews calling a Billy Butler ground out to short.

For a few moments, I honestly wondered if Young was going to make it back in the game after that hit. Tough sumbitch.

It wasnt pumped from speakers, it was a games worth of drunk people cheering a pick 6 by abdullah~ It was extremely loud and hostile in there, especially compared to recent games.

On top of that, I have been there at 2 louder games, both MNF games against the chargers, so yes it can go louder.

If one of the MNF games you are talking about is the one where Vanover ran a punt back for a TD in overtime, I can concur that it was louder. I was on the Chiefs sideline for that game (my Mom worked for a television station and got me a press pass for the game) and I thought my ears were going to explode.

As much as I don't care about this I'm glad they're doing it. A crazy crowd will help us out. I just don't understand why we can't be loud like that every home game. I miss the 90's when it comes to that. Every game was loud and crazy.

no this happened before that play by a few minutes. It was louder at this time than when that play happened but it wasn't natural.

As far as can it go louder. Yes, absolutely it can because I have heard it louder and the loudest it has been since the 90s was the 2010 home opener.
