Offer $1 beers and track level in the 4th quarter. Seems easy enough.

Nope. Arrowhead has lost the burst. Those days are over.

Decibel level is completely overrated. Familiarity with the field, routine, and sleeping in your own bed is what leads to HFA.
Been a season ticket holder for a long time. Went to games in the 90s a lot. That playoff game against Indy with the poster rolls banging seats was the loudest game I've ever been at.

And the Colts never punted, even once.

Was there as well. Couldn't talk for a day after. Swore I'd never wreck my pipes for a football game ever again after that shitfest.

Everyone thinks Arrowhead is going to become some impossible place for visiting teams to win again if we can just be loud and disruptive again. I'll let everyone in on a little known secret - Arrowhead was tough for opponents in the 90's because of Derrick Thomas, Neil Smith, and the rest of that defense. The Bills got their shit kicked in because of that, not the crowd, on that Monday Night game in '91.

Exactly. Sure, players feed off the home crowd energy at times. But talent and coaching trumps all.

Nobody ever talks about how loud the stadiums are when Manning and Brady are kicking ass and taking names.

I've actually talked to people who are Seahawks fans, and every one of them says they could care less if KC wins it anymore since Seattle got the ultimate goal, a Super Bowl trophy. Who the **** cares about a noise record when your team hasn't won a playoff game in 21 years.

It's like Chiefs fans are parents who think that buying the most raffle tickets for their kid is more important than putting him/her in a position to succeed in life.
I would say quite the opposite. I think most people view football/Chiefs as entertainment and as a small but fun part their life. If trying to set the record helps make Arrowhead louder and crazier for a night, then I am all for it.

I am afraid that it will depend on how the game is going. If we are being competitive in the game then Arrowhead will be rocking and set the record. If Brady is on fire and we are down it will be less likely.
