Overreaction Planet Vol. 15

I want my own thread for it this year. I'm probably going to do it every year. A nice little repository where I can glean through the annals of Chiefsplanet and get the pulse of our user base as the season unfolds from week to week. Hopefully it'll be a good time.

Wish I'd thought of this before the year started, but better late than never. Or not. I don't really give a shit. I've given an idea of what this thread will be about in post 12, but here is a PRIME example of the kinds of posts you can expect to see in Overreaction Planet.

What the hell does Clark do? The most that will happen is Reid and Sutton being fired, and that isn't fixing the crux of the problem. We're still stuck with AS. Clark isn't unloading him. He won't take that cap hit.

We have to ride this out, unfortunately.

One of the best backs in the NFL being reduced by the play calling to a role player.

Where are we going to go from here? It's not overreaction, it's just a sober look at the situation.
The overreaction is when you have people talking about the chiefs being a 4 win team and being completely outmatched by cincy.

They are not much different from last year. They will probably end up better. The problems you point out shouldn't be new to anyone. I never thought they had a Super Bowl shot under Reid and Smith. But let's stop with the overreaction that we are suddenly this collapsing team. We will probably level out at last year's level which I would call "above mediocre"

It's just aggravating that this is, what, the sixth year out of eleven where the season was effectively over before the sixth week of the season.

2005, 2006, 2007, 2010 and 2013. Those were the five years where that wasn't the case.. and 2005 was the only year where there weren't gaping flaws on either side of the ball. But of course, Chiefs gonna Chiefs and the team missed the playoffs because Larry Johnson couldn't pick up a Scott Fujita blitz.

Weis/Haley ham and egged Cassel into a just below passable starting QB but the facade fell apart when they played what was eventually SB caliber team in Baltimore.

2013 was obviously a ****ing mirage.

I'm just tired of this bullshit.

Exactly the case. More than ever this season because many thought this Chiefs team was the most talented one in a very long time. Turns out many of the fans concerns are all in play.

Don't forget being up 24-6 right before half to the Eagles only to give up 31 unanswered all sparked by a Larry Johnson fumble at the 50.

Keep aiming for those C-minuses, CHunts.

The Chiefs will never win as long as the Hunt family owns this team. It's as simple as that.

I am just pointing out that is what the chiefs probably are after you take out all the overreaction.
