Seems like I've talked about pocket knives before, but I don't have any posts in the thread, so here goes.
https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0...?ie=UTF8&psc=1 This is the one I'm using. I need it to be pretty cheap because I'll lose/break them. So you're guy here isn't rolling with any $300 knives. I bought this one because the handle is bright. The last one was a brown color and I lost it digging for seed. The point on this one doesn't fit in a seed slot that great, but that's it's only drawback. It isn't a deep set pocket clip but it's pretty low profile in my pocket. It's also surprisingly thin. I'm kind of a gigantor gorilla, so that might matter, but it is a nice fit in my pocket. Steel is good enough even though I abuse it. Mechanism is really nice. I can operate it both ways with one hand, which is critical for me. Pretty great knife for me. At $20 its a good value best I can tell. |

Always been a fan of Victorinox Swiss Army knives. The blades on them are pretty small and don't lock on most versions, but the things last. I've had a deluxe tinker that has the pliers and scissors. It's gone through a lot and it's about as good as new almost 30 years later.

I've always been partial to ZT and Spyderco. I'd love to be able to own a Chris Reeve knife, but those things are $450+ lol. On the cheaper side, the Ontario Rat I and II are the best, IMHO.
If you're looking for a fixed bladed knife, stay away from Kabar and their crappy rat tail tangs. Broken two of them in the handle.... I can personally vouch for the Benchmade Nimravus, as I have carried that, and beat the crap out of, through 4 deployments. Literally beat the black coating off the knife lol. Fixed blade outdoors/bushcrafting k if, LT Wright is absolutely top tier. I love their Genesis and Gen 5's. |

Not a pocket knife but if looking for a great, inexpensive fixed blade, full tang look at the Mora Garberg.

I can't +1 this, but penguinz is right. Mora Garberg is a great knife. Even just your regular $20 Mora knives are fantastic, definitely recommend them for a cheap, beater fixed blade knife. They have an amazing reputation.
