Best pocket knife?
I had a 20+ year old buck knife that recently crapped the bed. I'm not really wanting to get another one of those, any suggestions to any affordable durable knives? Most I look at are in the triple digit range.

Buck 110
Edit: should have read your post better, but the 110 is the 'classic' pocket knife IMO, that or one of Case knives similar offerings. I carry a Kershaw Emerson regularly as well as a SOG Twitch. For a fixed blade knife, Randall is the best on the planet. PERIOD. |
Buck has a lifetime warranty. I broke a tip prying on something and they replaced the knife. Might as well try and get it repaired/replaced anyway, if it's covered under warranty.

I carry a Buck Vantage Pro Small. ~$50 with S30v steel.
Other popular knives with decent steel you can get for under $100 would be: Spyderco Native 5 S35VN ~$90 Spyderco Delica ~$70 Benchmade Mini Griptilian ~$90 Cold Steel Mini Recon 1 ~$90 Kershaw Camber ~$80 Cheaper options with lower grade steels would be stuff like: Ontario RAT Model 1 ~$30 Kershaw Skyline ~$40 Kershaw Leek ~$40 Or you could be like me and pray that Benchmade makes a mini version of the Crooked River and spend the $120 or w/e it would cost when it comes out. |

I got caught at Walmart shoplifting when I was 7 - I stole a Ranger brand pocket-knife. Not by Walmart - but rather by my parents.

Bob Dole carries a Kershaw every day.
Gerber makes a nice blade that holds an edge, too. 4 field dressed whitetails before it needed sharpening. |
