Not sure if I started it, but I certainly contributed to it! Good memory.

Central Dairy in Mid MO makes great ice cream. So does Belfonte here in KC. I think the best ice cream I ever tasted was in Madison Wisconsin at the University. Bucky Badger Ice Cream. The school made it. And if anybody knows how to do dairy, It's Wisconsin.

I have to say, the best ice cream I've ever had was from Blue Bunny's corporate ice cream parlor in Le Mars, Iowa.
Their normal every day national distribution stuff is so-so but they clean up in the novelties department atsporting events. I think they keep the higher quality level stuff for their corporate parlor, I've never had anything so creamy. |

I gotta say - having lived in Houston in the 80s - for grocery store ice cream Blue Bell was far and away the best. I think they invented Cookies n' Cream. Which opened the door for cookie dough and all that other craziness.

Growing up Baskin Robbins and Topsys were my two favorites. I always got a cone with chocolate fudge and french vanilla ("costs a little more, but it's worth it")
Well agree that Cold Stone Creamery is overpriced crap right? Murrays was really good. I miss them. |

Meh. I much prefer a nonfat plain greek yoghurt with seeded granola and organic blueberries.
I also drink my own urine. /california |
