Barron was just plain awful for the Bucs, and was going to be released at the end of the season.

Lovie has gotten off to a terrible start. His moves have been remarkably poor. This was just another of those.

I actually don't remember what my opinion was on Andy back then, but i doubt it wasn't favorable.

I remember going to a Thursday night Chiefs vs Eagles game at Arrowhead over a decade ago. The place was rockin, and the Eagles were kicking off at the beginning of the game. Lovie had plenty of opportunity to modify his defense to suit his players. Instead, he's getting rid of players like Revis and Barron, because he's insisting on using his outdated defense.

At least he signed a 35 year old career mediocrity to be his starting QB, and brought in Alterraun Verner as the Revis replacement, though. That's been the key to the Bucs' race to the top of the NFC.

He's from Bama, what did you expect? The vast majority of their DBs suck ass in the NFL.
