To each their own. Not my cup of tea.

Think ten years from now we will regret hyping this up. There are kids all over the world who are now practicing garbage shots instead of drills.

I know how good these guys are. Not enjoyable basketball for me.

Did you bitch when the 3 point line was introduced too?

You're complaining about guys shooting at a skill level the world has never seen before. It's unbelievable to watch.

Kids are practicing making baskets in basketball... THE HORROR!!

Wasnt this same argument used against Allen Iverson? Kids would focus too much on ball handling and crossing each other over and we'd regret it? Well a bunch of those kids that were inspired by Iverson are in the league now and I sure don't regret it. Same thing will happen about shooting 3s.

Sooner or later we're going to regret hyping up Jamaal Charles. Kids now are practicing using their speed and quickness to play football.

Always fun watching the OKC Sonics choke like a mu****a!!! Will be better seeing KD in a Sonics hat at his new teams opening press conference later this summer.

I have no problem with kids practicing dribbling. That's fundamentals. Curry is the only person who should shoot the kinds of shots he does. If the NBA turns into a bunch of iso three point chuckers, its going to suck to watch.

First Klay doesn't take the shots Curry does most of the time. He is a more traditional spot up shooter like Reggie Miller or JR Smith (who you never seem to criticize for shooting 3's). Though Miller took alot of crazy 3 pt shots as well.

Second Curry has excellent fundamentals. He just happens to have a crazy range but he is accurate. Those aren't garbage 3's.

Yeah kids are gonna practice shooting the ball, handling the ball, moving without the ball, increasing their speed and quickness, pick and rolls, and passing. I mean...what else should they be doing? Do you really think Curry just practices heaving up 40 footers in practice?

And Iverson was one of the best dribblers and cross over artists in the game. If the game turned into a bunch of players trying to cross each other over, if would suck to watch.

And are you trying to say shooting 3 pointers isn't fundamentals?

It's clear Zilla likes the 80-76 games that are all rebounding hand checking and big guys that can't shoot the rock.

I just don't see the game becoming a bunch of chuckers. There are clear statistics involved here --- if you shoot a certain % from 3, it's worth taking them at a higher volume. if you show you can make them at that same clip 2 to 3 steps behind the line, then you get to shoot them. If you can't make shots at that % threshold, then you're not allowed to shoot. If you continue to chuck it up despite that, you won't remain in the league. Steph and Klay are two of the best shooters the league has ever seen, so they shoot more. Durant is a very good shooter, but he knows that taking 15 threes a game isn't the best use of his ability, so despite Steph/Klay going nuts from the line, Durant doesn't try to match them.

It's a skill, just like any other in basketball (dribbling, rebounding, dunking, etc.). If you can do it well enough, you'll play in the league. if not, you get filtered out along the way. Pure chuckers won't last long. The league has slanted to more 3 point shooting, but it can only go so far IMO.
