I do not want to give to charity

I go to Panda Express about once a week. Every single time they ask me if I want to donate money to dying children. I used to just give them money, and round up. But now - I suppose I'm evil I've just not been doing it. And I'm getting tired of places like this asking me to give money after I've just purchased something.

The people with the bell...fine I guess...it's just kind of annoying & awkward asking me this at the cash register after I've just bought $300 worth of shit. You know damn well I have the money to donate.

There are tons of places doing this now. I'll get a sandwich somewhere and they'll be like - do you want to help dying children? I kind of just want to reply - I ****ing love dying children. They are the best kind. Thanks for ruining my day. I'm tired of them soliciting from me because all they want to do is be able to say in their commercials how much money they've raised for charity to in turn get more business to show the world just how much they really care!

I am a horrible person. I realize this.

I do charity on my own time. Every year I've helped at a soup kitchen or a salvation army drive. I just don't want to donate money at a business so they can brag about how much they did so they can become more profitable.

Yep, it seems a guy gets hit up at every store out there these days. I do a lot of anonymous giving to various charities and people on the side to help them out. Getting hit up in most stores I go into can get irritating.

2 Corinthians 9:7
Each of you should give what you have decided in your heart to give, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver.

Proverbs 18:16
A gift opens the way
and ushers the giver into the presence of the great.

Proverbs 11:25
A generous person will prosper;
whoever refreshes others will be refreshed.

2 Corinthians 8:12
For if the willingness is there, the gift is acceptable according to what one has, not according to what one does not have.

Luke 6:38
Give, and it will be given to you. A good measure, pressed down, shaken together and running over, will be poured into your lap. For with the measure you use, it will be measured to you.

Proverbs 3:9
Honor the Lord with your wealth,
with the first fruits of all your crops.

2 Corinthians 9:10
Now he who supplies seed to the sower and bread for food will also supply and increase your store of seed and will enlarge the harvest of your righteousness.

Proverbs 3:27
Do not withhold good from those to whom it is due,
when it is in your power to act.

2 Corinthians 9:8
And God is able to bless you abundantly, so that in all things at all times, having all that you need, you will abound in every good work.

2 Corinthians 9:11
You will be enriched in every way so that you can be generous on every occasion, and through us your generosity will result in thanksgiving to God.

Matthew 6:2
So when you give to the needy, do not announce it with trumpets, as the hypocrites do in the synagogues and on the streets, to be honored by others. Truly I tell you, they have received their reward in full.

Luke 6:30
Give to everyone who asks you, and if anyone takes what belongs to you, do not demand it back.

I spread it around to my liking. Randomly to homeless, 35 year old Vietnam Vets, meth heads, crack heads, some dudes card not going through in front of me, my Fry's shopping card (kinda selfish), dipshits asking for money on CP, drinks, dinners, lunches, etc. Someone wants a smoke from me?, they get two. Bought a bluetooth speaker off a guy in the Circle K parking lot once, knowing full well he was ripping me for a few bucks. I went home satifsied that he was going to get a good high, compliments of me.

Don't give to any particular cause or group. Do love them titties though so I've bought some of their schwag.

Oh, and a friend of mine runs a mission in Columbia. I give to that. Got a sweet Federacion Colombiana De Futbol jersey as a result. Only jersey I wear.

I never give at checkout, unless it's Petsmart. And $30 limit for Secret Santa?, **** that.

Does it change your opinion when they go home to their house on the Plaza?

Hell, if it was a guarantee that someone would spend a donation on booze, I'd think that's 100% about the giver wanting to feel good about themselves, while not helping a damn thing.

LOL. Too funny. Me, being me, did ask him (good nature'd of course) if they where hot. He says: "Naw man, I acquired the WHOLESALE".

I love interacting with humans. Best adventure there is.

Today I bought a sweet Tonka payloader for our Toys for Tots campaign at work.

It's zip tied into the box so I can't take it out and play with it.

That part was about retail stores that do that stuff.

And Panda Express is reasonably good. I only get the Teriyaki Chicken & Brown Rice though - sometimes the orange chicken if I'm feeling like being real unhealthy.

Don’t forget donating to the homeless runaway teen girl you picked up (and dropped off) at the local 711.
