frickin dog question

so, the son and his wife went to some kind of money managing class. they came up with a plan on how to get out of debt and build a new house(i'm 57 and never been out of debt). anyway, the main part of the plan is for them and the 3 grandkids to move in w/the wife and i. actually, no biggie...grandkids usually stay w/us every weekend, and we know they're going to get older and not want to come out as much. life.

so, they sell their house and move in w/us 2 weeks ago. everything seems to be working fine, except the 3 dogs they brought w/them. used to living in a fenced in yard and sleeping in the house. i've got 30 acres for them to run wherever they want, but they seem to be happiest laying on the wifes ****in patio furniture. holler, scream, shake a stupid can w/rocks in it(dumbest idea of all), to no avail. the wife went to town and bought some spray shit for $40 and sprayed it all over the furniture saturday. yesterday morning...yep, they're laying on the patio furniture. she sprayed it again, but i know they'll be back.

so...surely some of you guys/gals have experienced this before and have a solution besides antifreeze and/or bullets? they're pretty cool dogs, really, but the wife is driving me ****in nuts over this.

suggestions?

You should at least scoop the turds into a bag and put it in gochiefs' car.

I'm not judging....it sounds to me like they're on the Dave Ramsey plan. Short term pain to get ahead.

Congrats to your son and his wife for a commendable goal. I'm sure you and your wife will enjoy having them around for a while.

wife grew up w/a wiener dog in the house(her moms). they'd let that damn thing eat out of their plates, etc. it would shit right in front of the kitchen sink, and piss in peoples shoes. it really turned her off on dogs. she doesn't hate them, but no way in the house, and the patio furniture is damn close to the house in her opinion.

when their house is built and they move out, i'm still going to be home w/her. she designed the house and was more involved in the building of it than i was.

i'm just trying to figure out a solution that makes everyone happy.

That's hilarious. I have a blue heeler (Australian Cattle Dog) and my buddy got a beagle. We joked that if they bred it would be the most worthless dog ever - the beagle spends 101% of the time with it's nose on the ground, and my dog isn't catching it if he can't see it. There really aren't two more diametrically opposed approaches to life.

But we did think it would be awesome to breed them and then have a "battle dog"

As far as my dog, it took some whoppins to get him to understand "no" and then learning through verbal commands. I also try to positively reinforce good behavior. Treats worked pretty well with my dog.

Dude. Shut the **** up. Virtually everyone that owns a house is on a 30 year ammortization. Debt isn't bad. Insufficient cashflow to service debt is.

If they're going to end up with a paid for brand new house in a few years, they'll be way the **** ahead of you. No need to shit all over the thread.

And, FWIW, most dogs are waaaaay better than most people.

I didn't say I was alpha. I'm certainly not beta, though. I'd be completely controlled by my woman if that was the case. Most of the time it's the opposite. And at 6-0 190, I can hold my own in a fight, not that I'd ever stoop to such neanderthal levels, you subhuman. Try evolving.

Nor do I buy into redpill bullshit. I found my GF by being myself, which certainly has never been alpha.

Seclark is definitely being cucked though. By dogs. By money. By his moochin' family.

well, i think old grandma is starting to warm up to the pooches...this morning the beagle was limping around when she was leaving for work. she checked it over and led her over to the front porch to lay on a chair.

i said "wtf?"...she said she'd let them lay on the furniture and then give it to the kids when they build and move. said she's got another set she's picked out to buy for the front porch anyway.

so, i guess everyone wins, but my bank account.

gochiefs...you need to step up your trolling game. it's always sucked.

Your wife sounds like she's been talking to my wife. That sounds exactly like how she would handle this type of problem.
