It was year one that sold me on Dorsey. He absolutely got the better tackle as the other one really 'sucks' to use a term used elsewhere by NFL analysts. What sold me was the 7 players he took after training camp. That upgraded the roster and it was a wise thing to do since we had the first picks. I'm not sure every GM would do that, chucking the advances made in camp. It taught me that camp should never trump an opportunity to upgrade, you just catch up as fast as possible. I thought getting Smith was clearly the right move (actually both of them). I was wrong on Santos though, we are better off. I was surprised he cut Catapano but not sorry. I was surprised Spencer Ware did not replace Davis but looks like he finally might anyway. I'm not sold on Albert Wilson and I would have kept Williams and then planned to draft another receiver this year. Last week someone on the board suggested Berry was a LB. I think I agree, solves the inside problem. Berry is just always late in coverage, not a new problem. Remains to be seen on Ford...if it had been me, Hali would have been gone and Ford would be playing. Ford is a great pass rusher and I honestly think we would have gotten more from him than Hali at this point in his career. It's a mystery.

I can't state this enough. This season has really shown us just how good of a GM John Dorsey is.
There wasn't a noticeable drop off from Jamaal Charles or Justin Houston yesterday. If a poster told you before the season that Jamaal Charles and Justin Houston would both be out of a game and Dee Ford, Charcandrick West and Spencer Ware would come in and look great, you'd Probably laugh and tell them to go drink the stuff under the sink. I mentioned this in another thread, but this is interesting. DeVito, Zombo and Ford have combined for 7 sacks and a forced fumble turned INT. Add in Nick Williams who is looking similar to Jaye Howard last year and there Ya go. West and Ware are obviously looking great at RB. Parker filling in nicely for Gaines, Fulton looking good at backup C. I can't imagine what this team will look like once Dorsey has another offseason to put the final touches on the OL and WR core. This team is young, it's talented and we have money to keep them. We're gonna be good for a long time guys. |

Either way, this team is really coming on. Great shot to win a playoff game this year and maybe do more. |

It's sad that so many Chiefs fans have been bitching about management since the Peterson days, but don't know a great GM when they see one or appreciate it.

It does to a small extent but I was giving Rerun shit over his previous touting of the drafting of Davis as an example of the greatness that is John Dorsey. Not that Im not a Dorsey fan but Ive always contended Davis isnt a feather in his cap.... there were better examples.

Again, no credit until we win a playoff game.

This. I've seen this movie before. Win a ****ing playoff game, then we can start to slobber all over Dorsey's knob for doing something this Franchise has FAILED to do in the past 22 years

I'm asking cause I can't look it up, but when was the last time the Chiefs had three winning seasons in a row?

Thanks. So essentially before Dorsey and Andy it had been 15 years since the Chiefs were consistent winners. Wow
