Taking a child under 2 anywhere is a nightmare for me.

If you do so, I'd probably suggest a few things...
1) Earplugs. Children that young have eardrums that are still developing and the volume of the crowd at Chiefs games nowadays is stupid loud and can probably cause long term hearing problems. 2) Overdress in layers if the games gonna be cold...if it's a hotter part of the year, I'd suggest lots of sunscreen, one of those fans that mist water through the fan (kids love those and it can keep them cool easier, too) and a hat that provides shade. If he/she is unhappy, you will be, too...it might force you to leave early. 3) Bring something to entertain them when/if they lose interest in the game. Football games are longer than the attention span of a child that young. Their interest in the game will probably fade in and out during the game. 4) Make sure everybody in the surrounding area knows he/she is there so everybody (hopefully) acts accordingly and doesn't go overboard. |

We took her to the Royals/D-backs game last year and it wasn't a problem, she was great. But yep football is different. Too loud for a constant amount of time and too many drunks around. Can't wait to take her though and our other future children.

This is total bullshit. No one should have to change their behavior because someone brought a kid that doesn't have any goddamn business being there in the first place.

A toddler? What the **** does a toddler know or care about a professional football game? Is Barney snapping the ****ing ball that day( don't answer )? "Oh look; honey boo-boo brought their pissy-pants mini-me to the game today"! "Let's not get too loud or drink too much because God knows I just spent $175.00 for this shit, and now I get to watch football at the nursery". I swear to God; half the people that breed probably shouldn't.

There are plenty of kids that go to the games and from my experiences, people are respectful of them at the games...a lot more so in the club section as someone else mentioned. Different class of people and A LOT more kids tend to be there. |

I balance my 4 year old girl and 11 year old son with lots of work, as you can imagine. When I take them places, I want us to all have fun that doesn't get derailed.
The simplest of things can turn a fun afternoon into a pit of fits, screaming and embarrassment. I've just learned a few tricks along the way, dear. |
