Brett Veach’s approach: “**** it, why not?”

CJ Spiller
Cam Erving
Reggie Ragland
Darrelle Revis

See the pattern? Veach signs previously highly touted prospects or players, for cheap, to see what they can do for us.

He isn’t afraid to kick them to the curb, as we saw with Spiller multiple times, or demote them, as we saw with Erving. He’s also not afraid to promote them, as we’ve seen with Ragland.

As long as we aren’t too loyal to these guys and take appropriate action based on their performance (and not on potential), I’m fine with it.

Happy of the acquisition, less happy that the acquisition's initial response is how glad it isn't him being traded.

Not good for him wanting to come to KC. Not good for awareness of his employment situation.

Or that he’s going to be an extremely loyal player for KC.

Could be, who knows the future? Not sure where you draw a direct line from 'glad I'm not going to KC' to 'KC has my eternal loyalty.'

Want to walk me through it?

Maybe he's just young and doesn't think before he tweets. Twitter is known for that nowadays.

Or maybe if you follow the ****ing story, you’d know that when he tweeted that....he didn’t know that he had been traded. He was the last to know.

I know all of that, and I know what he tweeted on that basis.

It's not a dealbreaker, just a [hopefully minor] ding to the start of the relationship.

Do you think he is aware of the trade at this point?

**** it, not worth it. Everything's wine and roses.

Simply out of pure curiosity, how would you respond to an employer floating the idea of changing your residence and corporate location within the first few minutes of hearing the news?

I would bet you wouldn't be pissing all over your former organization based on speculation and rumors...
