and you have to wonder what that means over the course of a season ...

the Royals play the majority of their games in a pitcher's park in a pitcher's park division (Detroit, Minnesota) ...

the Blue Jays play in a ridiculously friendly hitters park and play a ton of games at Yankee Stadium, Camden Yards, and Fenway Park.

OPS wise, you'd think that has to be a +- .050 OPS swing. So Cain is a .875 OPS with KC, he'd be a .925 OPS guy in Toronto. Bautista is a .925 OPS guy in Toronto, he'd be a .875 OPS guy in KC.

Well, either way ... Cain is the #3 WAR guy in the AL behind Trout and Donaldson. You spout off Donaldson, Cain, Bautista, Tulo and Encarnacion to a bunch of casual fans and people probably take Cain and Donaldson last and they're the best of the bunch.

Let me make sure I have this right.

On Sunday, Jersh with zero outs, doesn't send K. Mo, a guy so slow he actually appears to run backwards in time, because the play was "360 feet" from home plate and the throw, from one of the best defensive CF in the game went high.

Today, he sends Hoz , with nobody out, a good base runner and a guy with good wheels, in a game in which we are annihilating Detroit, against a defense that is the MLB equivalent of the bad news bears, and it's time to string him up.

Thanks again google fiber. We had The Dotte pretty much contained until they arrived with high speed internet.

and the +- .050 OPS is me being conservative ... it could be more

I think Morales would have 30 home runs if he was the every day DH of Toronto, Baltimore, Boston or New York. He's missed countless homers at Kaufman that would be out at a lot of parks

at least you're smart enough to not be a "regular" in the real time GDT ... I spend half of the game arguing things I'm not smart enough to let go because it's just SO ****ing stupid ... and I am just SO ****ing stubborn about not letting Pete/Cosmo/Al/Baitism/bsroyals etc... get away with being such moronic ****ing cock sucking idiots

instead of people being excited about Morales' 98th RBI and the fact that Kendrys has made a career out of getting REALLY HOT AT THE PLATE and going on TORRID hot stretches (like he's doing right now) ... they spend 50 posts freaking out about a total non-issue send and suddenly we're going to lose a postseason game because our 3rd base coach isn't good enough ... or something

I mean good ****ing God

and you're right, this is a week after that "360" foot no send ... you know ... on a ball that went 265 feet and sent directly to the best OF arm in baseball

but hey, at least our 3rd base coach studies the scouting reports ... unlike our brilliant message board hindsight baseball strategists baitism and petezgeezus

I didn't say shit about sending him until you dismissed/defended it as "a pity send."
And that was on top of your other moronic statements and contradictions.

People would take your good takes moar seriously if you'd admit you made a mistake when you are clearly in the wrong.

A Grand Slam tonight would be on his resume.

I'm trying to figure this out ..

I'm not convinced Toronto has a better offense than KC.

Toronto, New York, and Boston have all scored more runs than anyone in the AL. They all play in the same division and they all have extreme hitter's parks.

I'm not convinced you couldn't move this Royals team to any of those three ballparks and play any of those three schedules and they wouldn't have outscored any of those three teams if they had to pack up, play in KC, and play KC's schedule.

I think best offense in the AL is more of a tossup than you'd think. I do concede that the AL does appear to be a 2 team race between Toronto and KC, however ... although anything can happen in the postseason.

Either way, if we play them, that means we've made another ALCS so bring it on.

what am I wrong about?

I made no take on the Hosmer send. None. My take was, "don't care."

In fact, I barely even watched it. I saw him get tagged out at home by about 10 feet and have no idea if it was due to a bad send or a bad read or Hos slowing up or ... whatever.

why?

because it truly didn't matter

it wasn't the playoffs
it wasn't a close game

it was truly meaningless

so my take was quite simple:

"DO NOT CARE, 100% MEANINGLESS PLAY IN A BLOWOUT, OUTCOME DETERMINED GAME."

That's as far as my take ever got.

Not a chance. Admitting wrong is very rare here on CP.

Amazing how getting your black holes out of the lineup creates runs.
