Poll: Is the NFL rigged?

Almost every thread on here turns into or had posts that the NFL is rigged. Its wrestling. Pre-ordered outcomes are being dictated from the NFL office to teams.

Lets see how many of us publicly believe the NFL is rigged. Vote on your definition of what is "rigged", what constitutes altering outcomes on purpose etc.

Whether you're serious or not, people actually believe in this logic.... if there's a holding call, it's just a way for refs to rig games. There are supposedly phantom calls all the time to steer games and blatantly terrible calls like the NFCCG DPI non-call to rig games, but the Chiefs drive in 13 seconds for a FG and then for a touchdown in OT and suddenly the NFL and refs are completely helpless to stop it with a phantom call that would have ended the game.

And now we've moved on from the refs when they're competent to Mahomes throwing a game.... maybe next year he'll throw for 400 yards and 4 TDs in a loss and we'll move forward with it all being scripted, because fragile minds can't deal with reality so they create their own.

Rigged? Hard to say because that could mean anything. If you look at the ownership and the people hired by the owners, it certainly looks like a good ole boys club. The same coaches getting passed around to different teams. It's a business and a very profitable one. Even more so with the addition of gambling.

Considering the amount of money involved, I have a hard time believing that the NFL would risk all of this by rigging a game.

As a fan of the Chiefs, I always found it amazing that the AFC East was absolutely horrible for twenty plus years and then as soon as another team gets a viable quarterback, the one that ruled the division jumps to another team which had all of the pieces in place for him to succeed. And wins the SB. Or how the Patriots managed to win the SB after 9/11.

Then again, if games were fixed, it would get out. Like trying to fake the moon landing, someone would talk...

Do you even know/understand my position on this? Because I've stated it many times and it seems like you completely ignore any opinion that doesn't perfectly align with yours and just push everyone to one extreme or the other with a complete refusal to understand the vast amount of nuance and gray area in this discussion.

But, your YouTube things are cute.

just saying if you feel NFL is rigged might as well not celebrate when Chiefs win.. what's the point? It was predetermined anyway... no real accomplishment there

None of the playoff games were pushed in the Chiefs favor that I can recall. It seems to happen a lot in the regular season though. It happens to them just like it happens to us...the phony holding and PI flags just start flying in.

I'm not talking about a team or players throwing the game like some are accusing Mahomes of here. I'm talking about referees trying to steer the game in a particular direction.

In any event, how is that any different than rooting for a protagonist in a movie or being happy when Ultimate Warrior beat Hogan for the title at WM VI? I don't know what is going to happen. I take it in and I'm entertained.

Well, on the iconic WASP play, don't want the left side of our line basically tackle the incoming SF defender. No holding call, very egregious.

Then why watch TV shows at all? Why do anything planned? If it's all scripted and people are faking it, what's the point?

The point is to spend time with your family, you obtuse mother****er. Spend time with the special people you care about and watch a game for 3 hours, eat some food, and not take life so seriously for a while?

Does it REALLY make a ****ing difference to you whether it's real or scripted/rigged/steered/manipulated?

It sure doesn't to me at the end of the day. I still love my family, I still love my friends when I go on lot. If anything, I take in MORE of the important stuff at then end of the day. Even though I know the shit isn't completely on the up and up.

ffs...

Rigged = The NFL league office predetermining the outcome of every game.

That's the only way the NFL, as a whole, could be rigged.

Oh, make no mistake, if Patrick threw the game (and he did. It doesn't pass the smell test - those last two plays in regulation are DAMNING) it's because those were his orders. Reid is the one who makes sure those orders are carried out.

He's done it before, here - those playoff collapses. Colts in Jan 2014, Titans in Jan 2018, and now the Bengals game. Go to THAT thread. That's some REAL interesting shit.

And if you want to know exactly HOW it's carried out, check out the posts on Super Bowl XXXVII - look it up.

If you want to go there.

Only a moron or an NFL disinformation specialist could make such an audaciously stupid claim.

Of course you think no Chief playoff wins were pushed in Chiefs favor. What a very Chief fan thing to say! Face it -- if it is rigged then Chiefs wins, especially in the playoffs, would be no exception.

Well yeah thats true w entertainment post but then don't brag about Mahomes being this good or Kelce being that good or Tyreeks amazing speed. Remember -- it's rigged. Only reason they win is because Goodell (or let me guess the mob) wants them to.

You guys just have a problem dealing w losses. It's just a game. Chiefs lost because they choked amd Bengals are a lot better then you want to give them credit for, not because it's rigged or the refs wanted the Bengals to win.
