I’m as guilty as anyone of this, but we’ve tried to believe this team was a contender all year when in reality Mahomes was just making it seem that way. I’m not sure any other QB even has a winning record with this defense.

Six weeks ago I would still believe no problem because the offense was literally unstoppable and potentially best ever material. Now they are just really good, but being really good is not enough to overcome the defense.
Also I take no comfort in the idea that our losses have been “good.” Any back and forth game against a good QB is an automatic loss due to the defense and Reid’s game management issues. Have we won a single one this year? I can’t think of one. So I can’t see anything to indicate we will change this trend in the playoffs. |

That's what it'll take to for this team to win a playoff game.

They allowed 16 ppg and 238 yards/game in the playoffs, both very strong numbers. Meanwhile Manning finished that playoff season with like 3 TD/7 INT and the Colts averaged 151 yards on the ground. It's the unspoken truth but for all the amazing stats he put up, Manning didn't really play that great in either of his Super Bowl runs. He had the 2nd half comeback against the Patriots in 2006, which was huge no doubt. But he never really carried a team on his back all the way to a Super Bowl. We all know what he looked like when he won in Denver, his arm strength was gone and he led the league in INT. But both his Super Bowl teams played great defense in the playoffs. |

At this point our D is such a waste of time....
Just go no huddle. We will need to win games the same way Texas tech won theirs. Winning shootouts with no expectation whatsoever from their defense. |
