Honestly, the only reason why Denver didn't put up 30+ on us was because our offense kept the ball for so damn long.

Next thing for Reid to work on: Red Zone packages. It might be a good idea to go with all of your biggest and tallest receivers, especially when your small guys aren't getting open anyways.

Yeah, I think he got at least one completed on him. The one where Sanders caught the ball right in front of him and he wrapped him up and violently spun him to the ground. Unless that was another one of those bullshit pick plays, I don't remember 100%. I thought Smith was covering him though.

He was. Great play...

Denver rookie QB John Elway, on Jack Lambert, after Lambert and the Steelers knocked Elway out of his first game as a pro (1983).

That seems to be the formula to beat the Broncos or at least keep it close.

Nearly dropped another one?
You're upset about a ball he DIDNT drop?

Wow

Fisher's best game as a Chief

outside of a couple of plays, he shut down Ware. If he keeps improving then he is a solid starting LT(at least)

Davis looked good. Why did we give Charles a billion dollars again? The extra power Knile brings helped.

Knile Davis is looking better and better, which is a good thing because China Doll Charles is starting to remind me of 1994 Joe Montana. Every time the dude goes down, youre just waiting for him to either not get back up, or to head for the sideline. Shit is getting old. Davis is your starting running back before long. As much as the term "brokedick" gets thrown around here, Im quite surprised Charles hasn't been tagged with it yet. This is probably the real reason Charles only saw the football five times in the first half last week after missing the entire pre-season. Andy was afraid he'd break him, and sure enough, a couple plays into this game, he did.

Kelce is the best receiver we have, no question. Its not even close.

Cooper got roasted early, had some footing issues on a couple plays, but he had some really nice stops, especially the pass deflection on one of those bullshit pick plays the donks love so much.

It looks like the line is starting to come together, finally. Alex looked a lot more confident this game than last week, although he did have happy feet quite a bit today. Getting Stephenson back should help, hopefully we wont be 0-4 by then. Its funny how much better Alex Smith looks when Jamaal Charles isn't even available. Why can he not make these plays with him in the game?
Yep. Good post

Its dumb.
His football takes are typically ignorant, and this is one of them.

I'm not calling Kelce out, but he'll be a much better player if he catches the ball more cleanly. It will allow him to catch and run more effectively. It's is good criticism, but nothing to focus on as a fan by any means.

Once his nerves calm, he gets more comfortable and confident, he'll be a great weapon. Hell, he already is when given the opportunity.

It's a toss up between this one and out last game against Denver last year. He stonewalled Von Miller in that game.
