Beginning of the end of the NFL - The Pick Play

Forget the outcome of tonight's game. If the Chiefs won, I would still have the same feelings about what I saw tonight.

I saw the article talking about Denver's pick plays this week. They are essentially money plays. Need a first down pick play. Tonight reminded me of playing Madden football and how there are things that are almost impossible to stop. Manning excels in this because he is such an accurate passer.

If more and more teams start doing this and the NFL doesn't stop it. Then the NFL will lose my interest just like the NBA has.

Go ahead and call me a soar loser now

We should find out this week. League loves Belicheat and Brady as much as Peyton. Guess it depends on which team donates more to the refs retirement fund.

Pats should crush them, because they are a better shootout team and the Denver defense actually ****ing sucks.

It is what it is, and if we could do it we would... The bottom line is that Manning has better people and enough time to make anything happen. If we could we'd do it next week, but we can't.

Oh, and as soon as somebody other than Manning's guys do it, they'll make a rule! All part of the Manning doctrine... He's good, in fact he's great, but the NFL will do whatever it takes to get him to the SB this year...

Wait, too late... The pussification of the league is well underway and the favored-child-bias chaser is in full effect (and has been for years).

Well, compared to what we're trotting out onto the field, he is golden. This is what you get when you don't place a priority on what I suspect is the most over-protected player pretty-much in all of sport. We all know why, we all know it's pretty-much against the tenants of fair play, but alas, this is the owner's league and they can do anything they want with it. If we go get a star QB (LOL, like they'd agree to play here at this point!!), then we might get some of the same treatment as the Mannings and Brady's of the world.

yes this

accidentally slam into the crossing WR, throw your hands up as you flail to the ground and they might call it, otherwise forget it, offense wins tie

Nowadays the game and rules are so skewered towards the offensive side of the ball, it's borderline laughable.

I'm really surprised more teams don't try to copy Denver's blueprint and just build a complete juggernaut of an offense with a serviceable defense.

Very well could be the formula to win in this NFL from here on out...
Not every team has a Peyton Manning. There offense wouldn't work with an average QB.

Did you see that one "fake pick" play? Two Denver receivers lined up next to each other, then start as if they are crossing each other's route, but then they flare out away from each other. Of course, Manning throws a perfect strike to one of them. It wasn't a huge gainer, but was effective and very well timed. I must say, that was a pretty sweet play.
