Actually his one start was decent. His second start, he didn't record an out so it blew up his ERA. I didn't think the guy was great, but I agree with Hootie that ERA means jack squat when a guy's pitched two games.

Detroit lost a shit ton of games before coming to KC ... but they were still scoring a shit ton of runs

their pitching has just reached beyond the depths of dumpster fire

without looking, I'd imagine they're giving up 7+ runs a game over the past 15 games or so

they are throwing guys out there just for the **** of it ... this season couldn't get over any quicker for detroit

Most passing-runners situations occur when a runner backtracks to a base and another runner is advancing. The Philadelphia Phillies' Tim McCarver lost a grand slam this way on July 4, 1976, at the Pittsburgh Pirates in the first game of a doubleheader when he passed Garry Maddox in the top of the second inning. McCarver, batting with no outs, hit a Larry Demery pitch for an apparent home run, but Maddox, who was on first base, went back to tag up in case the ball was caught.

McCarver, unaware of Maddox's location, passed his teammate and was called out by umpire Ed Vargo. Because there were fewer than two outs, the other three runners were allowed to score. If there had been two outs, a runner would only have scored if he had touched home plate before the passing occurred, an obscure example of a "time play."

I do know that if we had guys like you, dipshit 1 or dipshit 2 in charge we'd have AA guys starting every game since Moose, Hosmer, Cain, Duffy, Ventura, Holland, Herrera, Sal, Gordon, George Brett and Brett Saberhagen all would have been DFA'd after 1 tough outing / stretch of games
