Chiefs continuing to host QB prospects

Watson, Mahommes and Kizer all visited KC recently. Today it's Josh Dobbs per Jeremy Fowler.

IMO this is the QB the Chiefs will most likely draft.

He's like Donald Trump and Jesus combined into one! He can feed a town with just one fish, and he'll make Mexico pay for that fish!
If GM Stryker trades up for Foster he may not have those picks available to get Jones and Mixon. He might have to go up to lower teens, which would require trading the farm.

Jumping in front of Houston might only cost pick 104... provided someone will trade down.

Draft our 1st round QB this year if he is there. If we do that we can let that QB get adjusted when we don't have to put him out there and possibly ruin that player. I do not want to wait until next year and then have to wait another year or two to find out if we have our QB or not. The sooner we get this done the sooner we can move on from Smith.

If KC drops a round 1 pick on a QB, they better choose wisely...I wouldn't want any of the QBs on that list...Wentz might turn out to be OK but not for what the Eagles gave up.

This draft is too stocked to be trading away picks...I wouldn't be surprised to see Dorsey trying to move back. He's a shrewd guy with his draft capital...and if he doesn't have a late 1st round grade on one, they arent taking a QB at 27.

The worst part of the inevitable QbofF investment is the immediate shift of all the 'draft one already' moaners into 'get him on the field already' wailers.

I get all the frustration of not having a stud QB.I really do. But if you look at the past 20 yrs at all the QBs taken in the 1st rd that were pushed up into the 1st rd because of a desperate need, there have been far more that have busted than succeeded once again setting that organization back even further. But I am not willing 'this year' to do this on a false narrative that we can afford to let a 1st rd QB pick 'sit' when we still have major defensive and offensive needs with a plethora of football talent 'that will start" sitting there at 27 especially when the QB class for next year will justify that pick far more and you have bolstered your roster this year even more with offensive and defensive talented depth.

It does matter. It sustained drives. You think letting them run all over the five had no impact? That's ridiculous. That was Smith's weakest playoff game. But continually letting them into FG range is on the run defense.

Most realistic people in favor of drafting a QB this year will be more than willing to give our new guy a full year, and some of them would be down with giving the dude a full TWO years.

If it takes two years of sitting for him to get it, I'm one of those people. You can count me in.

Absolutely! The one thing I would like to see is during blowout wins or losses letting the guy get a few snaps in to help with the development process.

Continually letting them into FG range is on Poe being a fat sack of crap and the Chiefs being forced to put RNR, Reyes, and Jenkins on the field for significant minutes due to everybody and their mother being injured on the DL. Yes, they had played well, but none of them were even on the 53 roster at the beginning of the year. That DOES matter.

Smith didn't need two testicles to play that game. All he needed was one. Just a LIIIITTLE bit of courage would have been all we needed to make one or two big plays and call it a day.

If your QB can't give you more than 18 points in the playoffs against a mediocre defense like Pittsburgh, THERE'S A HUGE ****ING PROBLEM.

If your defense stops a DYNAMIC offense like Pittsburgh to only 18 points, THAT'S REALLY ****ING GOOD.

End of goddamn ****ing story.

Absolutely the offense Should've scored more points. But the Steelers had the ball for almost 10 more minutes. They were almost 50% on third-down conversions. They ran almost 20 more plays. Don't tell me the defense did it's job.

I don't think that most of those QB busts were the result of over drafting, but rather the result of putting these guys out there before they are ready.

If you believe that a QB has the talent to excel if he's given time to develop, you take him early, and develop him off the field before you put him into harm's way.

Maybe if the Chiefs offense could have sustained a couple of drives between the opening drive and the final drive, the defense might have gotten a couple of minutes of rest, which might have improved the chances of making a stop or 2.
