I got some quotes through a broker and then also got a quote from USAA since I'm a member. The broker was nice because I could get a few numbers and only have to do one medical exam.
I would have liked to have used USAA, but I didn't qualify for their lowest rate because my HDL (good cholesterol) was too low. I ended up using Prudential, as they apparently don't have as strict of a LDL/HDL ratio requirement and I got their best rate. |

It's no a company you're looking so much as the investment vehicle. You want a policy you can over-fund.

In English por favor. I'm kidding, I really don't have a clue, to be frank, I have never researched Life insurance up until this very point. My knowledge is very minimal, I figured I would put some feelers out here, and then continue my research from there.

First and foremost, seek advice from a professional. There are a number of considerations. Like are you already maxing out other retirement type investments. Here is an example, and I do mean example of what you can do.
If you're in Colorado I have a person you can talk to if you like that's licensed. https://www.edwardjones.com/en_US/pr...lan/index.html http://blog.lifeinsurancethinktank.c...ife-insurance/ http://answers.yahoo.com/question/in...=1006042922648 |

I don't have it because I have no kids right now. Term life would be like your car insurance. You pay a premium and you have insurance. Ins. salesmen try to sell Whole Life as an investment vehicle because you can borrow against it. If you have a wife and kids then you should have some type of insurance. For pure value stand point people say Term in the way to go. Maybe some others who have "whole" life can chime in here and relay their experiences. I have a 50K policy from work and that is enough for me to pay off my debts. |

Insurance should be insurance. Investments should be investments. Zander is an excellent company for getting a good rate. Important questions: How old are you? Are you married? Do you have kids?
