I lean more towards the theory that he's the incarnation between 8 and 9 that carried out the Moment that ended the last Great Time War.

The fact that it seems so obvious is maybe the biggest mark against it. Also there's nothing particularly "secret" about it. He's talked about doing it. But it also seems the most sensible direction.

Don't forget to watch the 5th doctor revisited tonight at 7 PM Central. You can watch the previous doctors revisited documentaries starting at 5 PM.

I realized when I set the DVR for tonight that I missed the 4th doctor and his classic episode. Grew up watching him on PBS, although I barely remember any of it.

Odd that they'd release the prequel after the episode has aired, but here we go:

I must say I'm disappointed in the 5th Doctor revisited. I think the producers are trying too hard to make it seem as its been pie and ice cream for 50 years. Peter Davidson was practically run out of the role after two and a half years by fans who were outraged that after beloved Tom Baker played the fool for seven years, Davidson would play it mostly serious. I think Davidson did an excellent job as Doctor. Not word one was said about this. In fact Tennant portrayed the story as the opposite. We'll see how they tackle the Colin Baker story, the only actor ever to be fired from the role.

Holy shit. Really?
Or is this some kind of misdirection. Seems odd that he'd spoil it. |

It's kind what the show does, though. Just when they get ya hooked.
