I don't know why everyone is freaking out about this. The writing's been on the wall for awhile now. Just be grateful he isn't staying in the division.

Carr is better and younger than both Finnegan and Rogers and they both got 7.3M per season with Finnegan getting 10M per.

Carr will get more than that.

It’s been a little over a year since Brandon Carr left the Chiefs to sign with the Cowboys in free agency.

That’s a year on the field, a year of dealing with the scrutiny of being a Cowboy, a year of ingratiating himself within the Dallas community.

Now that he’s spent a sufficient amount of Dallas, how different is it being a Cowboy than a Chief?

“Let’s see, what’s the politically right answer?” Carr said, giving a small laugh. He spoke after Saturday’s “Men Against Abuse” rally at City Hall. “No offense, but Dallas, it’s the Big D. This is it right here.

“I love that because it gives me the opportunity where I have the platform to do anything in the community and this is Phase One for what I have planned for reaching out and giving back to my community. Between Dallas and Kansas City it’s night and day. It’s a bigger city, a bigger market.”

Carr said his offseason was busy with appearances and community outreach, but he would really start focusing on next year in May when the rookies come in and OTAs commence. As for who his new teammates will be, Carr didn’t have much of an opinion.

“I watched a little bit of the combine,” Carr said. “I try to stay abreast of all the guys that are coming out but that’s something that, when they draft a guy, whoever they bring in, it’s fine with me.”

Interestingly enough, Carr, who went to Division II Grand Valley State, wasn’t invited to the combine. His only pre-draft exploits were a Division II All-Star game in Kingsville,Texas.

Gives him the platform? So what if Dallas is bigger than KC, plenty of players with the Chiefs have done plenty of community service work there. They don't wait to go to other cities before they reach out. Sounds like he is getting a big head. Cowboys better hope he does better on the field this season than last also.

I believe that was a Pioli thing, where as Carl demanded it of his players.

He never, ever wanted to stay in KC for this reason. And it was fairly obvious. People just can't accept it. There are people who just don't want to live in KC. Personally I think the same thing was true of Kyle Orton. They showed no interest in staying.

I know I enjoyed watching Brandon Carr lead the Cowboys to the playoffs last year. CB is such an important position. Anytime you can drop $50 mil on one, you have to do it.
