I would guess they did this the way they've done all other deals and the way all teams work the process... the agent here f'ed up. Word is that 35 minutes prior to the deadline, the deal was accepted and the paperwork was sent to be signed and faxed back.

To Be Clear:
- Its not that the agent didnt submit the contract to the league in time, its that the Agent didnt get it back to the Broncos in time.
- The Broncos, facing a deadline that would cost millions, were forced to send his release into the league office.

You can't undo a firing. Its not like the agent turned his test into the professor after the bell; the team fired ED.

Dude, I can't even tell you how many times in my life (when I had an office job) that I was 7 minutes late to work or late coming back from lunch, etc.

Every ****ing morning, I'm rushing to get the kid out the door and when I'm get into the car, the time seems wrong "It can't be 8:55!". So yesterday morning, I checked the time on all the house clocks when I returned and of course, the clocks were correct.

I just don't see the big deal about 7 minutes.

Exactly.

The NFL would have to ****ing uncut a guy. They'd have to take a free agent and place him back on an NFL roster.

If the NFL owners didn't lose their minds, the NFLPA would.

This 'work something out' talk is reeruned. If there was any chance in the world of that happening, it could have only happened had the Broncos kept him on the roster past the deadline and tried to back-date the renegotiated deal.

Let's keep our wits about us, people. We know this is the Broncos, but you have to think about the logistics of what you're suggesting.
