Would you bring in Hester?
If he's released. ...that is. Think Toub would want him in KC?
www.rotoworld.com New Bears coach Marc Trestman admits Devin Hester could be done in Chicago. "(We) had a chance to talk a few minutes but we didn’t get specific on anything," Trestman said. "Just an opportunity to get to know each other but not to put in concrete what his role would be if he winds up coming back." Trestman's "winds up coming back" remark makes it clear Hester is more likely to be cut than retained. It sounds like both sides want a fresh start. |

I'd only consider him if we dealt or cut McCluster.

I'm guessing he thought he was still playing Madden and had injuries turned off, heh

Do not give two shits about return men. Hell, the NFL wants to get rid of kick-offs and we want to go after that very specialist?
Do we need a good punt returner that has a good head and great hands? Yes, but find one already on the roster or draft one that does another job even better than he returns. |

Was his return huge? Sure. But remember this, the guy was a nonfactor throughout the year and his role as a WR was just as important as his return. Is Hester making that catch/getup/run/TD? No.

Jacoby Jones led the LEAGUE in 30 yards per return average. Essentially Joe Flacco starting drives on the 30 or more, for comparison sake, we had Shaun Draughn who averaged 21 yards per return. So Flacco getting the ball at the 30 versus Brady Quinn/Matt Cassel starting at the 21, if the return begins at the 1. And it takes one sack or rushing play that nets a loss of yards for that drive at the 21 to be in the teens. Essentially poor field position KILLING drives before they even begin. I dont know about you, but I'm sick of that Last edited by mcaj22; 02-15-2013 at 12:45 PM.. |

I love that we're having this discussion 3 years after Pioli spent two 2nd round picks on guys who were supposed to handle the PR and KR duties.
