Is this because you doubt Geno or the whole team?
This is for posterity, so please, be honest.

That is homerism at its finest right there.
I appreciate the excitement that a new 1st round QB would bring to the team. Lets keep in mind that we will have a new GM and entire coaching staff as well as a new QB and there might be more depending on what all happens in FA. These things make it highly unlikely that we win a playoff game next season.

How hilarious would it be if this actually happens?

Baseball doesn't but the Royals do. The Royals have been the laughing stock of the MLB since Brett left.

I think the Royals win it before the Chiefs. Why? For starters, if the Royals WERE to make the playoffs, it's much easier to win a playoff game based on technicality. As far as actually making the playoffs, the Royals have drastically improved their rotation and their lineup isn't the worst ever. They still have to get through the Tigers, but we'll see.
The Royals have a better shot at it than the Chiefs for the short term. (if the Royals fall flat on their faces again, despite the moves, Dayton Moore is fired) |

Has to be the Chiefs. The Royals will never make the playoffs and will continue to be a glorified minor league team for the big market teams. At least the Chiefs will make the playoffs every few years, although the probably won't see a Super Bowl anytime soon.

Royals have made some major moves to improve. Not it's the Cheaps turn.

The Chiefs still have a chance to turn it around. New GM and QB will do this franchise a world of good.
The Royals will still have Glass not wanting to spend money. The Royals haven't been within 10 games of 1st since 2003. They cut salary after they reached a 72 million payroll, which is still well behind even the league average. That in itself isn't a killer, but you have to make good decisions when you're cheap.

Bump....because of recent developments....
Has your opinion changed any? Who gets the first playoff victory? Royals or Chiefs?
