Took way too many sacks. Was past his prime by the time we signed him.

Screw Dave Krieg, he had the uncanny knack of throwing a pick or fumbling or taking a bad sack to lose a game. He got happy feet under pressure and basically was Cassel1.0. I watched the Seahawks because they were on through the 80's growing up in Oregon.
I got so frustrated that I quit watching football because of him unless the Chiefs were on. Then the fing Chiefs bring him in via free agency. Again I say Screw Dave Krieg. |

It really stings that the last playoff game won by the Chiefs was with a "Past His Prime" pickup from another team.
Although Montana brought A LOT to the City of Kansas City he just didn't have enough left in the tank to get us to the promise land. You know that land that CP promised us with his 5 year plan? I do remember being at the Monday Night Football game against the 49ers and IIRC Huey Lewis and the News came in to sing the national anthem as special guests (friends) of Joe Montana. Not a big deal but no other QB we've had brought as much to KC as he did when he joining the Chiefs.

He wasn't great, but he's better than anything we've trotted out there since Damon Huard; which isn't saying much, comparing him to Huard.
He threw a weird ball. Very short takeback, kind of shotputting the ball. Like Colin Klein.
