In all honesty the metphore they are using is legit. If you want the benefits of 2.5 Million SDGU's annually then you have to take the downside which is the 3k deaths. If you want the benefits of a car you have to take the downside potential risks associated with them also.

Hmmm. Just curious what your source for this information is. The only thing attributed in post 349 is from 1990. Is that your data source?

I think they should just outlaw walking / running because here is what I know If one couldn't walk or run most of the times they couldn't get the guns to the place where they want to shoot people...

Actually, it's harder to drive a car legally than buy a gun, so this argument is kind of reeruned. I mean, you have to at least pass a test to drive a car. and you are required to insure the car. And there are several safety laws governing HOW you drive a car, when you drive a car, and where you drive a car.

Yea I didn't feel like going back through and updating it to date considering nobody is stupid enough to attempt to go after it with a 2.5M to 3k ratio. The numbers are not really going to change that much anyway. YOu could always try and discredit it though based upon being old useless information.

Perhaps she would have been died. However, you can't say that for certain. Shooting with a handgun, from what I understand, is much more impersonal than getting close and stabbing someone.

I don't disagree with your rights to have these things. Matter of fact, the only thing I disagree with is silly arguments to keep them legal like equating a ball bat or running/walking to a handgun, whose sole intended purpose is to shoot someone else.

I'd like to say that I have the answer to how to solve these problems but I don't. Truth is there probably is no way to stop stuff like this. Therefor I think they should be legal so people at least have the ability to defend themselves.
