I had one solo trick 'r treater. Little black kid in Bears gear, all by himself. He left with quite a haul. My boys will destroy the rest in the next few days.
I saved a few Snickers and a big box of Mike and Ikes for myself. OK, the Mike and Ikes were for me in the first place. |

We have a variety of Almond Joy, Reese's Peanut Butter Cups, Whoppers, and Heath Bars. I have tested all of them for freshness at least once.
We had a strong year for trick or treaters this year, at least a dozen and maybe as many as 20. They were from some other neighborhood that drove into ours, though. Not local kids.

Found out today apartment complexes don't get trick-or-treaters. No surprise. Just saying. I've sat here with a bowl of candy all night on the counter. And nothing. Guess I have to eat it now...

Only had 15-20 kids come by last night, so I've got a lot of leftover candy.
Any of you notice how most of the kids just automatically go for 3 or 4 pieces? My dad or mom would have spanked my ass for being such a greedy little turd if they had seen me doing that. And of course, the greedy ones never say thanks. I told the last couple of kids to take extra if they wanted since it was late in the evening, but jeez, do parents even take the time to teach their kids manners these days?

Trick or treat isn't like it used to be. Had maybe a total of 20 kids in 8-9 visits. Not a single teenager or kid above the age of 10-12
I handed out handfuls of mixed variety; smarties, tootsie rolls, now and laters, lollipops, fireballs, bubble gum. I'll bring the leftovers to work, about 50% left. I ate some tootsie rolls but they don't taste as good as they used to like most candy.

We actually had a bit more than normal, we always buy a box of 36 candy bars and have quite a few left over. Tonight we had to shut off the light a little early after we gave out the 35th one. |

We don't have any trick or treaters come out to where we live, so we take our kids to a neighborhood. I've eaten a snickers out of my sons bag and a milky way out of my daughters bag so far. This was all covert of course after they went to bed.

I remember the day when kids were cut loose on Halloween. In this day and age parental involvement is a requirement. |

I submit that it is no more dangerous than it used to be, and possibly even safer, but people are just big gigantic vaginas about it. |
