you're wrong. There's no option for a +1 bidding....never has been on ESPN
The option I wish they had would be FAAB on Wednesday and then "normal" waivers from Thursday through Sunday. FAAB just flat sucks in regards to the dreaded "game time decisions" on Sunday morning. |

Since the topic has been brought up, I have a waiver claim question. Is waiver order determined weekly (based on points scored the previous week)? Or does it shift based on actual waiver claims? I’ve heard people say “I’m second in the waiver list, but I don’t want to waste it on him, I’ll see if he becomes a free agent.”
For example, I drafted 2nd, but the waiver order this week put me 4th, but if it was based on draft order, I would have been 9th. I’m just curious if I should continue to put in claims haphazardly, or if its better strategy to hold onto it, work my way up to the top, and pull the trigger when a big player becomes available.

It depends on your league setup
I'm in three (all on ESPN) and one is based on FAAB, one is regular waivers which was set to teh revers of the draft order and that only changes based on waiver claims (as you described above), and in the other the waivers reset each Tuesday to the inverse order of the current standings (this week the lowest scoring 0-1 team would have the #1 priority). If you're on ESPN look under the "settings" tab on your league homepage |

Free Agent Auction Bidding......each owner has a set "$" amount for the season and they bid on players rather than having a waiver wire (waivers is only a tiebreaker). Much like an auction, any free agent is available, it just depends on how badly you want him.
One team in my league that uses FAAB this week spent $31 of his alloted $100 for the season on Ogletree. |

We use FAAB in our league.. It is just a way to make sure everyone gets a chance at a free agent.. I do wish there were normal waivers Thursday through Saturday like the other guy said.. putting a bid in on Friday afternoon, I shouldnt have to wait until Saturday morning.
