No. I'd have to guess trauma and/or blood loss did it. Or a bullet.

No it won't, IMO. It might change the game, but I think these changes were going to happen regardless. Much the way that the players started wearing helmets.

The general population shows all deaths by suicide is about 1.53%. The NFL is much lower than that statistic.

God, you guys.... Junior is alive and well!
It's John Ritter who died. And it was a heart defect of some sort that got him. |

I've looked through several piles of pudding and i've found proof of nothing but well...pudding and it's origins.

It doesn't look good. We know that there is a lot of head trauma going on. We know that the medical professionals in the NFL are not always making decisions based on the long term health of the players, and I think it's reasonable to believe that this culture comes down from the teams and the players themselves.

I'm sure the complexity is within a troubled soul that put a bullet in his heart. All the incredible work he did on and off the field doesn't add up to this ending. It was a facade of a completely self-centered Junior and it no longer worked. Bullet.

Trauma and depression? Talk to someone who has a family and lost his job. Talk to a Police Office or Fire Fighter. Talk to someone who works in a hostile environment that has them stressed out to the max all the time. There are occupational hazards to anything peolpe do. True football is very physical but other things such as stress take a physical and mental toll on people as well. Wright was calling it "the cause". I can think of a lot worse situations than someone being depressed because they don't play pro sports anymore. |

I would tend to agree with this. He had issues other than football-casued or related. As harsh a it sounds and I am not trying to belittle anything, to an extent anyway, but when someone takes their own life you have to say there was a degree of selfishness involved, barring any medical conditions, of course.
