When you get one of those hunt the target waves on wave 10 its so lame. Almost without fail you get an Atlas as your first target and you really need the right party setup to rape an Atlas in under a minute or whatever they give you.

No tutorial needed. You simply say the name of the ability you want executed. Hold down the bumper to display your action wheel, and all of the abilities have their names above them. Want to heal while sprinting your ass off? Just say "First Aid". In the full game, when you have multiple characters with the same ability, you will have to say their name and then the ability. For instance if you are a biotic, and you have Liara on your team, and both of you have Singularity you will have to say "Liara: Singularity" if you want her to use it. Otherwise, it will be your character performing the action. All of the commands and abilities used through voice will be targetted at where your crosshair is pointing. If you want your team to engage other enemies, with the ability so you can focus elsewhere, you can still go to the radial menu and select targets/abilities. This will probably be necessary in places where there are just so many enemies that you need all 3 of your actions to happen instantly, instead of just one at a time. The biggest problem this alleviates for me is the lack of hotkeys for abilities. Ill be able to use whatever ability I want just by simply saying its name. It will also cut down on the time spent interrupting the flow of combat by entering the radial menu to issue ability commands to my teammates.

After playing a bunch of the multiplayer I have to say its probably gotten me more excited about the game than the campaign demo.

Maybe I'm just feeling dumpy this morning but it doesn't have quite the punch that I remember from the ME2 trailer.

Finally got around to downloading the demo - looks kickass. Looks like I'll be upgrading my computer over the weekend, so I should be ready to roll when this comes out in a couple of weeks.

I played through the single player demo - this game is going to rock. Also played some more multiplayer. My buddies and I can breeze through bronze challenges with ease, we also beat all 10 waves of a silver challenge. I haven't tried gold yet though.

It's supposedly longer than either 1 or 2. Which is saying something. My initial play for both games was over 40 hours.

What weapons is everyone using in the multiplayer? I've unlocked all but the Locust (and the non-rares are 7+) and for instance I feel like the Avenger because of its compromise position on ammo and its minimal weight is strongest choice of the three assault rifles in the demo. The exception to me with all the rare weapons is the Widow since it does offer a superior weapon for the weight penalty.

I spent a few minutes this morning on the Bioware Social Network, the first time I've been there since DA2's release. Good grief. I'm not sure it hasn't gotten worse. And I didn't think that was possible.
This month's QQ is From Ashes, the Prothean DLC that's out day 1. It's like these people didn't play DAO. Or DA2. Or ME2. They've been doing day 1 dlc for literally years, but apparently this one is somehow causing the apocalypse. |
